Seating Policy

All customers may be offered advance seat allocation until the relevant seating limit has been reached (20%) when the system automatically prevents further allocation. When this limit has been reached seating can only be allocated at check-in on the day of departure.

Qantas does not guarantee any particular seat, even if reservation is confirmed. Passengers must accept any seat allotted on the flight even if this involves a downgrade, or wait until the next flight on which a seat is available in the class of service paid for.
