General Booking Conditions

Please read these Booking Conditions carefully as they apply to all bookings accepted by Qantas Holidays.
Qantas Holidays is not itself a transport, tour, event or accommodation provider. It acts only as an agent for those service providers. You should obtain and read the applicable service provider's terms and conditions as they may limit or exclude liability in respect of death, personal injury, delay and loss or damage to baggage.

Changes in Prices and Itineraries

All prices are in Australian dollars (except where noted) for ex Australia travel only. Prices are provided as a guide only and may vary due to peak demand periods, changes in surcharges, fees or taxes or currency fluctuations. Please check all prices and information with your travel consultant before booking. The price of your holiday may change at any time up to 30 days before your departure if any new surcharges, fees or taxes are introduced or if any existing surcharges, fees or taxes are varied, even after you have paid all or part of the quoted price of your holiday. If we have to change any part of your booking for reasons beyond our control, for example, if an airline changes its schedules if a hotelier overbooks, or if there are any changes in applicable surcharges, fees or taxes, we will notify you. If any such changes result in your holiday costing more or otherwise being materially different, then you may cancel the holiday and we will refund any monies already paid less any charges levied by suppliers.
Internet bookings must be paid in full at time of booking.

Goods and Services Tax (GST)

All prices and charges are inclusive of Australian GST where applicable.

Airfares

A number of airfares can be used in conjunction with your holiday package. All airfares are subject to availability and will be subject to the rules of the airfare purchased.

Deposits and Final Payments:

Internet bookings must be paid in full at time of booking.

Domestic bookings (for travel within Australia): A deposit of $55 per person is payable within 7 days of confirmation of your reservation. You will be notified at the time of your reservation if any additional deposit requirements apply.

International bookings (for travel from Australia): A deposit of $165 per person is payable within 7 days of confirmation of your reservation. You will be notified at the time of your reservation if any additional deposit requirements apply.

Full payment for your holiday package is required at least 30 days prior to departure, or by sale end date or payment deadline specified in individual package conditions, whichever is the earliest. If for any reason your balance is not received by us by the due date, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled and to apply the appropriate cancellation charges.

A deposit holds services requested but does not guarantee prices.

Event Package Bookings

Payment for event tickets is required at time of booking. For bookings made outside 30 days prior to departure, full payment is required within 7 days of booking for the entire package. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, Qantas Holidays will only accept the booking if full payment for the entire package is received at the time of booking.

Late Bookings

Bookings made within 30 days of departure will only be accepted if full payment is received by Qantas Holidays at time of reservation. Internet bookings will not be accepted inside 4 days prior to departure.

For international bookings made within 7 days of departure, a fee of $20 will apply. Internet bookings will not be accepted inside 4 days prior to departure.

For internet bookings a cancellation fee of $55 plus any charges levied by hotels and ground operators up to 100% of the cost of land arrangements applies.

Cancellations

If you cancel or terminate your holiday there will be no refund of your deposit, and

Alterations

Alterations to your package which require reissue of documents - for domestic bookings a fee of $27 per booking will be charged by Qantas Holidays in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground/cruise operators or airlines. Alterations to your package which require reissue of documents - for international bookings a fee of $25 per booking will be charged by Qantas Holidays in addition to any charges levied by hotels, ground/cruise operators or airlines.
A document reissue means an alteration to an existing booking and not a transfer to another package where cancellation fees may apply.

Refunds

To the extent permitted by law, no refund is available for cancellations after holiday package has commenced or in respect of any tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilised.

For internet bookings a cancellation fee of $55 plus any charges levied by hotels and ground operators up to 100% of the cost of land arrangements applies.

Land Only Service Fee (not applicable to Internet bookings)

If booking land only with Qantas Holidays, a minimum stay of -one night's accommodation or 1-one day's car hire is required and a service fee of $25 per booking will apply for international bookings.

Product Descriptions

Descriptions featured are based on current international hotel guides and information provided by hotels and suppliers. Any facilities shown as included may change at any time. Qantas Holidays makes no specific representation as to the standard, class, or description of accommodation or services -provided by third parties.

Maps and Photographs

Maps are shown for general information and may not necessarily reflect actual routings, locations or services provided. Photographs show places in the geographic areas, but may not be included in the holiday. Hotel room photographs/descriptions are representative only, actual rooms occupied may vary in decor and inclusions from those shown. Many images are supplied courtesy of tourist bureaus, hotels and tour operators.

Travel Insurance

It is recommended that at time of booking, you consider purchasing a travel insurance policy of your choice.

Health and Immigration

You are responsible for all visa, passport, immigration, quarantine, customs, health and other requirements of the countries visited or transited. A valid passport (with at least six months validity) must be carried by each person. Qantas Holidays is not responsible for your failure to ensure that you comply with these requirements.

Baggage

Please check your travel documents for applicable baggage allowances.
The free baggage allowance for carry-on and checked baggage varies by carrier. Excess baggage charges are the passenger's responsibility. For details refer to Baggage Allowance, jetstar.com or contact the applicable airline prior to travel.

Pre-departure Contact

You must provide a telephone number, email or address where you can be reached, if necessary, within 24 hours prior to your departure from Australia.

Not Included in Price of Holiday

You are responsible for the cost of your own travel arrangements from your home town to and from the international departure city (as set out in packages featured on qantas.com). Anything not specifically noted as being included in the holiday package is at your expense.

Air Travel

Air travel is subject to the conditions and limitations of liability set out in the airline's conditions of carriage.

Booking Arrangements

The person making a booking will be deemed to have accepted these Booking Conditions on behalf of everyone named in the booking. All communications from us will be sent to you or your travel consultant. Your travel consultant is responsible for forwarding payments made by you to us.

Limit of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Qantas Holidays excludes all liability for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to physical and psychological injury, and loss or damage to property of whatever nature) that may arise in any way in connection with the offer or supply of goods or services through Qantas Holidays or any third parties, or in connection with the supply of such goods or services.
If the law implies a condition or warranty that cannot be excluded Qantas Holidays' liability for a breach of the condition or warranty will be limited as determined by Qantas Holidays to the re-supply or -payment of the cost of re-supplying the relevant goods or services.

Events Beyond Our Control

Qantas Holidays does not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond its control including, but not limited to, war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of -government or of any other authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.

Frequent Flyer points

Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn points on selected packages. Membership of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program is subject to the Terms and Conditions program. A joining fee applies. The Qantas Frequent Flyer membership must be in the same name as the booking.

Destination Passenger Enquiries

Qantas Holidays makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. You should obtain travel advice from the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on www.smartraveller.gov.au.

Law of Contract

These Booking Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia and any action arising under them or in any way connected with the holiday may be brought only in a court in Australia, subject to any law which is expressly inconsistent with this.
