| Cathay Pacific introduces new business and economy classes mobile check-in now available | 07 April 2009 |
Passengers travelling on Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide will experience the comfort of new business and economy class cabins, being progressively introduced across the entire fleet. The new business class offers comfort and privacy, whether passengers are working or relaxing. The cabin layout allows unrestricted aisle access from each seat while mood lighting in the cabin and new soft furnishings add to the overall experience. The new economy class seat features a fixed back design, which allows the passenger to recline without intruding on those seated behind. The seat frame and structure has been designed to maximise knee and shin clearance and remove awkward fixtures and fittings that undermine comfort. The seat provides dynamic and continuous support for the spine in all positions. Other features include a bigger personal television and the introduction of audio and video entertainment on demand. Cathay Pacific have also recently introduced mobile check-in and self print boarding passes which allow business travellers to get through the airport experience more quickly.
