Status Credits and Tier Benefits

Fly to earn Status Credits

Status Credits are the key to higher rewards

As the only program in Australia to offer four membership tiers above our entry level Bronze, we do more to recognise and reward those who fly more regularly. With every eligible Qantas flight* you'll earn Status Credits as well as Qantas Points. Status Credits are separate from Qantas Points and are used to determine your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership level. You can also earn Status Credits on eligible flights with selected partner airlines. This includes Jetstar,*** all oneworld® alliance airlines and Fiji Airways. Find out more about our partner airlines and earning Status Credits when you fly.

Boost your Status Credits

Elevate your Status Credits

You can increase the number of Status Credits you earn with Qantas by choosing more flexible fares. Qantas offers a number of different fare options for you to choose from when you fly. The number of Status Credits you earn varies depending on the airline, how far you fly and the fare you choose. You earn more Status Credits on more flexible fares, and travelling in premium cabins brings even higher earn rates. The fare you choose, coupled with the number of flights you take each membership year drive your Status Credit balance higher. The more you earn, the higher your membership level. See how many Status Creditsyou have earned at Your Activity.

More rewards with Status

More rewards with Status

You'll enjoy a more rewarding travel experience as a Silver, Gold, Platinum or Platinum One Frequent Flyer. It's our way of recognising and rewarding our most frequent flyers. Earn enough Status Credits each membership year and, as long as you've flown a minimum of four eligible flights* with Qantas, QantasLink or Jetstar, you'll be upgraded from Bronze to Silver, then Gold, Platinum and, for our most frequent flyers, Platinum One. Higher membership levels give you extra travel-related benefits such as the ability to earn more points when you fly and privileges designed to make your journey more enjoyable including priority check-in and lounge access.

Find out how many Status Credits you'll earn on eligible Qantas and Jetstar flights, or for more details, visit the earning tables.

How to reach Status

Frequent flyer cards

To reach Silver membership and above, you'll need to earn a certain number of Status Credits and take at least four eligible Qantas, QantasLink or Jetstar flights* in each membership year. And, once you've qualified for Silver, Gold, Platinum or Platinum One, you get to enjoy the benefits for at least 12 months. The earlier in your membership year you reach the Status Credits required, the longer you get to enjoy the benefits. And, we make it easier for you to keep your Silver, Gold and Platinum status by having lower Status Credit thresholds for existing tier members. Although your Status Credits are reset to zero at the end of each membership year, all Status Credits earned since joining the program are combined and count towards Lifetime Recognition. See how many Status Credits you need to reach and keep tier benefits.

graphic

Lifetime Recognition

Loyalty Bonus with Qantas

Whilst your Status Credits are reset at the start of each new membership year, we keep a record of all the Status Credits you've earned since joining the program. Earn enough Status Credits and Silver or Gold membership^^^ will be yours for life, regardless of how often you then fly. It's just our way of thanking you for all the flying you do with Qantas.

graphic

Qantas Loyalty Bonus

We value your loyalty. That's why we offer additional rewards to our tier members. For every 500 Status Credits you earn on eligible Qantas or Jetstar flights* within a single membership year, you'll receive a Loyalty Bonus of 8,000 Qantas Points. You can earn a maximum of 32,000 Loyalty Bonus points each year. And that's on top of the extra points tier members earn from the Status Bonus. That's why we're Australia's favourite airline loyalty program.

Tier benefits with Qantas
