    Jump the queue with priority service when you call us. You'll find the number on the back of your Qantas card.

    Choose your seat on Qantas operated international and domestic flights (excluding QantasLink) any time after booking from reserved zones within your booked cabin, subject to availability. Seat selection on Qantas domestic flights is complimentary for all flyers and for Silver Frequent Flyers and above on international flights. More about seat selection.

    When you make a booking on Qantas in a premium cabin, your seat will be allocated at the time of booking based on your seat preference in your Qantas Frequent Flyer profile. You can make changes to your seat on qantas.com. For Economy bookings, the seat preference in your profile will be allocated at the time of check-in from remaining available seats, unless you have already selected a seat or purchased an Extra Legroom Seat.

  • On Departure Upgrade requests for domestic flights in Australia
    Use Qantas Points to request an upgrade13 to Business at a Qantas Club lounge up to three hours (but not less than 25 minutes) before departure on selected Australian domestic Qantas flights and selected domestic legs of Qantas international flights.

    Gold members can enjoy access to Qantas Clubs and International Business lounges for you and one guest and up to two children (aged between 4 and 17)37 when flying on eligible Qantas and Jetstar flights.     Platinum members receive priority36 over Silver and Gold Frequent Flyers and where possible, have their successful International upgrade requests confirmed from up to 48 hours prior to departure, which is earlier than Gold, Silver and Bronze Frequent Flyers. Successful upgrades may be confirmed via SMS.
  • Preferred seating and preferential access to selected Qantas Classic Award seats
    On selected flights, preferential access for Platinum members may be above the access available to Gold, Silver and Bronze members11.
  • Priority Economy seat purchase for two passengers
    Priority Economy seat purchase is available when holding or purchasing a Full Economy ticket for up to two people, including the Platinum member. Available on any Qantas operated flight with a Qantas flight number (excluding non-jet QantasLink services), for bookings made before midday on the day before travel12.

    Enjoy a greater checked baggage allowance than Gold members on most Qantas flights when travelling in Economy or Premium Economy.22 View checked baggage allowance.

Platinum members may access the following lounges when your next onward flight is on a Qantas^, Emirates^, Jetstar Airlines* or oneworld operated and marketed flight34 regardless of class of travel. Premium service for Awards

  • A better International upgrade service
    Platinum One members have their International Flight Upgrade Award13 requests confirmed, where possible, up to seven days prior to departure, which is up to five days earlier than Platinum members. Successful upgrades may be confirmed via SMS.
  • Highest upgrade priority, right up until departure
    You'll receive priority over other Frequent Flyers for International Flight Upgrade Awards13 right up until the day of departure, giving you the best chance of having your request confirmed. Plus, we'll let you know as soon as possible of your successful upgrade via SMS even on the day of departure.
  • Sharing your points, sharing the benefits
    If you use your points to request a Flight Award Upgrade for an eligible family member, at the time their upgrade request is reviewed they'll have their upgrade processed at the Platinum One priority level, even if you're not travelling.
  • Exclusive access to extra Qantas Classic Award seats
    Preferential access to Qantas Classic Award seats when you book through qantas.com. Platinum One members also have access to extra Qantas Classic Award seats28 where available, on selected Qantas domestic and international flights with a QF flight number on their ticket.

  • No Award Assistance Fees
    Book Award Flights without paying the usual Flight Award Assistance Fees16.

Before you fly

  •  More freedom to fly home sooner
    If you're travelling on a flexible Qantas domestic fare, arrive at the airport earlier than planned, and want to catch an earlier available flight, any fare differential will be waived if the same fare class is not available.
  • Complimentary seat selection with premium seating
    Get access to more seating options in the first few rows of the Economy cabin (subject to availability) when choosing your seat10 at at qantas.com. Available on selected Qantas operated flights with a QF number on your ticket. Seat selection is complimentary on Qantas operated domestic (excluding QantasLink) and international flights, with a QF flight number on your ticket.
  • Preferred seating
    Preferential access for Platinum One members may be above the access available to Gold, Silver and Bronze members on selected flights11.
  • Complimentary Extra Legroom seating
    Receive complimentary Extra Legroom seating where available, on selected Qantas operated International flights (flight numbers QF1-QF199). Extra Legroom seating can be requested via our Priority Telephone Service up until three hours before your scheduled departure time.
  • Priority Economy seat purchase for up to two passengers
    Priority Economy seat purchase is available on eligible flights1when holding or purchasing a Full Economy ticket for up to two people, including the Platinum One member. It is available on any Qantas operated flight with a Qantas flight number (excluding non-jet QantasLink services) for bookings made before midday on the day before travel.

Important Information:
1 Qantas Points and Status Credits (where applicable) are earned on eligible flights with that airline's flight number on your ticket. Qantas Points and Status Credits may not be earned on some fare types and booking classes. For full details, see terms and conditions and the Airline Earning Tables.
2 Status Credits are earned on eligible Qantas, oneworld alliance airlines, Jetstar Airlines and Fiji Airways flights only - see the Airline Earning Tables for details.
3 Status Credits earned every Membership Year contribute to Lifetime Status.  As soon as the required number of Status Credits has been earned, Silver or Gold recognition is awarded for life.  The program Awards and Benefits may change from time to time.
4 Qantas marketed flights are flights with a Qantas (QF) flight number on the ticket.
5 The Status Bonus is applied to the actual Qantas Points earned when travelling in the Economy cabin.  For travel in premium cabins, the Status Bonus is applied to the Flexible Economy earn rate.
6 Jetstar refers to Jetstar Airlines (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K), and Jetstar Japan (GK).
7 For travel on eligible American Airlines and US Airways flights, the Status Bonus is applied to the base rate.
8 Priority telephone service is available when calling Qantas Telephone Sales, the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre and Qantas Customer Care.
9 Preferences accommodated where possible at time of booking for Premium Economy, Business and First and at time of check-in for Economy from remaining available seats on Qantas operated flights and flights with a oneworld alliance airline flight number operated by a oneworld alliance airline, including Qantas.
10 Complimentary Seat Selection (with preferential seating) is available immediately after booking and is at all times subject to availability of requested seats. Seat Selection is available on domestic and international Qantas operated flights with a Qantas flight number (QF1-199 for international and QF400-1349 for domestic, excluding QantasLink) immediately after completing your booking up until 3 hours before your scheduled departure. Seat requests cannot be guaranteed due to operational, safety and security requirements.
11 Preferential access will be provided, when available, to selected Qantas Classic Award seats for Silver, Gold and Platinum members. On selected flights, preferential access provided to Gold and Platinum members may be above the access available to Silver and Bronze members. Qantas & Partner Classic Award seat availability is limited and some flights may not have any Classic Award seats. When seats are available, preferential access is provided at qantas.com and from Qantas Telephone Sales and Qantas offices, excluding some international locations (Award Assistance Fee applies to assisted bookings). 
12 Priority Economy seat purchase is available to Platinum members and above only and is available on Qantas operated flights with a QF flight number on your ticket. Facility may be restricted due to operational constraints. It is available on any Qantas operated flgiht with a Qantas flight number (excluding non-jet QantasLink services) for bookings made before midday on the day before travel.  Pre-purchase and other conditions apply. 13 Flight Upgrade Awards are subject to capacity controls and availability is limited. You must have an eligible paid and confirmed ticket on a Qantas operated service with a QF flight number on your ticket. Not available on Qantas & Partner Classic Awards or other selected airfares, see qantas.com/upgrade for details.
14 Eligible Family Members receive the same priority as the Platinum One member if using their points.
15 Platinum membership for your Nominated Partner is available for the duration of your Platinum One membership.  A Nominated Partner must be the spouse of or in a de facto relationship with the Platinum One member who lives at the same address and has that address stored in their Qantas Frequent Flyer profile.  Only one Partner can be nominated for Platinum status per membership year and members can only be linked to one Nominated Partner at any one time.  For more details and to nominate your Partner, visit qantas.com/platinumone and complete the online Partner Platinum nomination form.
16 Award Assistance Fees will be waived for Platinum One members when booking Award Flights and Award Flight Upgrades using their points when booking through Qantas Telephone Sales. All other fees continue to apply.
17 To be eligible for the Booking Fee waiver when contacting Qantas Contact Centres, the new booking must have at least one Qantas (QF) flight number and at least one Platinum One member travelling in the booking.  The Qantas Contact Centres Booking Fee will be waived for all passengers in the booking, including the Platinum One member.  Other fees, including change fees, will continue to apply.
18 The Service Fee for Family Transfers will be waived for any Family Transfer either into or out of the Platinum One member's Frequent flyer account.
19 Complimentary Extra Legroom seating is at all times subject to availability of requested seats through Qantas Contact Centres and is not available online.
20 If Premium Economy counter is not available, Silver members check in at the Economy counter.
21 Only available when booked on fares permitting waitlist for travel on selected Qantas operated flights with a QF flight number on your ticket. Check booking for fare conditions.

* Effective 26 October 2014, Jetstar Asia (3K) will take over operations of Valuair (VF) flights. Customers booked on the VF flight number will fly on the 3K flight number.

30 On Qantas International flights only, oneworld Ruby members receive priority check-in at Qantas Club or Premium Economy counters where available (not Business counters) and do not receive priority check-in for domestic Australia flights.
