Maximise points earning on everyday spending

With two cards on your NAB Qantas Card Account, you can maximise your points when you shop (up to a maximum of $3,000 spent on eligible purchases per month).^

The NAB Qantas Card Account offers tiered points earning on monthly spend:~

Points will be allocated on a tiered basis, first on your NAB Qantas American Express Card spend, then on your NAB Qantas MasterCard spend.

Plus, tips to earn yourself extra points

  • Use your NAB Qantas Card Account at more than 400 Qantas Frequent Flyer partners, and you can earn points twice - once with your NAB Qantas Card and once with the other partner. Some partners even offer up to three points per $1 spent with them - conditions apply.
  • Earn one additional Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every dollar you spend on your card on selected Qantas products and services, including eligible Qantas flights purchased directly from Qantas.**

The NAB Qantas Card is easy to manage with points credited directly to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account each month. Plus, monitoring your account is easy with one credit limit, one monthly statement and one monthly payment. The convenience comes with a low annual card fee of only $65, plus:^^

* To be eligible for these points you must make a purchase on your NAB Qantas Card before 1 March 2010. Bonus points will be allocated to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account by 1 April 2010. If your account is closed or replaced by another NAB Credit Card account before your points are received at Qantas Frequent Flyer you will no longer be eligible to receive these extra points.
^ Eligible purchases exclude cash advances (including bills paid over the counter at a bank, financial institution or post office and purchases of travellers cheques) or when the card is used as a debit card to access linked accounts or transactions we decide are wholly or partly for a business purpose. Also excludes fees and charges (including government fees and charges), interest charges, transactions which are disputed, fraudulent or involve abuse of your credit card account, payments and purchases which are refunded or reimbursed.
+ The 0%pa purchase rate applies once for the first six months from the date the account is opened. If at the end of the six month promotional period any purchase amounts are owing, those amounts will attract the interest rate for purchases that is applicable to your NAB Qantas Card Account. 0%pa purchase rate excludes cash advances (including bills paid over the counter at a bank, financial institution or post office and for the purchase of travellers cheques).
# The Introductory balance transfer rate of 6.99%pa will apply to any balance transfer amount for up to two non-NAB credit or store cards for the period from the time the balance transfer is made to your account for six complete monthly statement periods, unless the balance transfer amounts are paid off earlier. These balance transfer amounts are designated cash advances for the purposes of the terms and conditions applicable to your credit card account. If at the end of the six month statement period applicable to any balance transfer amount any portion of that balance transfer amount is owing, that amount will attract interest at the NAB Qantas Card (Cash Advance) Indicator Rate (as advertised from time to time) then applicable to your NAB Credit Card account. This rate is currently 17.99%pa (as at 31 October 2009) and is subject to change. A payment to your NAB Credit Card account under this Special Promotion will be applied to the balance transfer amounts (designated cash advances) before any other cash advance or purchase amounts. The terms and conditions applicable to your credit card account set out in detail the order in which payments are applied. Note: the promotional rate of 6.99%pa for up to six months on balance transfer amounts must be applied for at the point of full credit card application. The promotional rate of 6.99%pa for up to six months on balance transfer amounts will appear separately on your NAB Credit Card statement and only applies to balance transfers from non-NAB credit card (or store) accounts. NAB reserves the right to withdraw any balance transfer invitations at its discretion.
~ Points earn is tiered based on total monthly eligible purchases across all cards on the NAB Qantas card Account. Points are calculated first on eligible purchases made with the NAB Qantas American Express card, then on eligible purchases made with the NAB Qantas MasterCard card. ** You will earn one extra Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every dollar charged to your Card Account for the purchase in Australia of the following services directly from Qantas (ie where Qantas, and not its agent, is identified as the merchant on the credit card transaction): Qantas flights; Qantas Club and Qantas Frequent Flyer memberships; and purchases from Qantas Travel customer shopfronts. Unless otherwise notified, extra points will not be earned in relation to purchases from: Qantas Freight; Qantas Holidays Limited; Qantas Business Travel Pty Limited; other businesses or franchisees of Jetset Travelworld Ltd; Qantas Staff Travel; Jetstar Airways Pty Limited; or other Jetstar-branded businesses, or for goods or services supplied by Qantas Frequent Flyer program partners.
