Status credits & reaching a higher tier
Status credits+ are separate from Qantas Points and are a measure of how often and how far you fly on Qantas and selected partner airlines. Each time you fly on an eligible flight^, you receive Status credits and the more you earn, the higher your membership level.

So, with double Status credits, you could reach Silver, Gold, Platinum or Platinum One membership.

Important Information:

You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn and redeem Qantas Points.  A joining fee may apply. Membership, Qantas Points and Status credits are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program Terms and Conditions. Qantas Points are also referred to as Qantas Frequent flyer points.

Qantas Cash is a prepaid MasterCard® payment facility, built into the back of your Qantas Frequent Flyer Membership card. To be eligible to receive the new Qantas Card with the option of Qantas Cash, you must be an Australian resident, Qantas Frequent Flyer member and 16 years of age or older. 
Heritage Bank Limited (AFSL 240984) (the Issuer) issues Qantas Cash under arrangements between it, Qantas and Access Prepaid Australia Pty Ltd (AFSL 386837) (a MasterCard business) (Access). Access distributes Qantas Cash (together with Qantas which is an authorised representative of Access for the purposes of providing general financial product advice with respect to Qantas Cash). Access can be contacted at customercare@qantascash.com. Access and Qantas earn foreign exchange revenue from Qantas Cash transactions. Access receives a processing fee from domestic Qantas Cash "point of sale" transactions. Qantas receives revenue generated by Qantas Cash transactions based on interchange fees paid to the Issuer, deposits held by the Issuer, cardholder fee and certain rebates and incentives from MasterCard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd.

^ An eligible flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Qantas domestic Australia flight with a QF flight number on the ticket where Status credits are normally earned. See the Airline Earning Table. Qantas Points and Status credits may not be earned on some fare types and booking classes including Classic Award flights. Qantas Segments booked in X, U, Z or P classes are eligible to earn Qantas Points and Status credits only when booked as part of a Qantas & Jetstar Any Seat Award. For details, visit qantas.com.

Ω This offer is valid for new bookings and registrations made between 12.01am (AEDT) on 01 December and 11.59pm (AEDT) on 31 December 2013 for travel on eligible domestic Australia flights from 01 December 2013 to 31 January 2014. You must register for this offer via the registration link at qantas.com/double. Members only need to register once for the offer, irrespective of qualifying flights. Travel is subject to availability and any applicable fare conditions. Flights can be booked via qantas.com, a travel agent or Qantas Direct. Fees may apply. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be recorded at the time of registration and booking to earn the bonus Status credits. * Qantas Points are earned on eligible purchases in accordance with the terms and conditions specified at qantascash.com. Eligible purchases do not include money orders, traveller’s cheques, gambling chips or purchasing foreign currencies in cash. You do not earn Qantas Points when loading funds to your facility, transferring funds to another currency balance or another member’s facility or when withdrawing funds from ATMs or cashing out your facility balance. Purchases that are reversed, refunded or charged-back are also ineligible for Qantas Points earn, in addition to fees incurred.
