Jetstar Classic Awards: Less points and more destinations
We've cut the number of points you need for a Jetstar Classic Award and added more destinations. Now rewarding yourself with Jetstar is even easier.
New lower points levels
We're making it easier for you to reward yourself with Jetstar. From 8 April 2013, when you choose to redeem your points for a Jetstar Classic Award*, you'll need 20% fewer Qantas Frequent Flyer points^. And, to provide greater clarity for members, all new Jetstar Classic Awards made from 08 April 2013 will be booked using the JQ flight number.
Plus, you can book a Jetstar Classic Award up to 330 days in advance, giving you more time to plan and book your trip.
More destinations
What's more, you can now also use your points for a Classic Award on Jetstar Asia, Valuair and Jetstar Japan - that's flights with a 3K, VF and GK flight number. This means that you'll need fewer points to fly to an even greater number of destinations - around Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the South Pacific.
The new lower points levels^ apply to all Jetstar Classic Award bookings made from 8 April 2013 when your booking includes flights on Jetstar (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K), Valuair (VF) and Jetstar Japan (GK) only, or where a combination of these carriers is used.
Multi-destination itineraries
When you want to redeem for a Classic Award flight beyond the Jetstar network and combine a Jetstar Classic Award flight with other partner airlines for a multi-destination≠itinerary, the number of points you need will vary depending on the routes and carrier chosen. Jetstar Classic Award flights operated by Jetstar (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K), Valuair (VF) and Jetstar Japan (GK) cannot be part of a oneworld® itinerary, as these carriers are not members of the oneworld alliance.
What's included
Every Jetstar Classic Award booking includes a complimentary checked baggage allowance+, giving you even better value.
Other ancillary products such as meals and inflight entertainment can be purchased on board or pre-purchased on international flights (excluding flights between Australia and New Zealand) at least 24 hours before the flight by calling Jetstar Telephone Reservations in Australia on 13 15 38.
Treating yourself to a Jetstar Classic Award in Business class#, available on selected Jetstar flights, means you'll also enjoy complimentary food, beverages and entertainment on board.
