Commonwealth Awards
From 1 April 2009, you will no longer be able to transfer points from Commonwealth Awards credit cards to Qantas Frequent Flyer as you do today.
What happens next?
If you hold a Commonwealth Awards card and you want to keep earning points:
- opt-in to Commonwealth Awards' new Qantas Frequent Flyer Direct option.* The points you earn on your everyday spending will then be automatically added to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account, and
- transfer your Commonwealth Awards points to Qantas Frequent Flyer.
Call Commonwealth Awards on 13 16 61 or log-in to your Commonwealth Awards account at Netbank and transfer your points.
Use this same number to opt-in to Qantas Frequent Flyer Direct. It's simple. You don't have to change cards or bank accounts.

Members who have opted-in to Qantas Frequent Flyer Direct cannot redeem Commonwealth Awards points for other Awards in the Commonwealth Awards Program. Members may opt-in and opt-out of Qantas Frequent Flyer Direct at any time. Once Commonwealth Awards points have been redeemed for Qantas Frequent Flyer points, they are governed by the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program and cannot be converted back to Commonwealth Award points.
