To earn Qantas Points with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG)*, including InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza® and Holiday Inn®, you need to be an IHG® Rewards Club member, select Qantas Airways as your earning preference and include your IHG® Rewards Club member number in your booking.

Simply follow the below steps to earn Qantas Points with IHG:

Login to your IHG® Rewards Club account with your IHG® Rewards Club member number and PIN

Step 3 - Preferences

Step 4 - Manage earning preferences

Select 'Airline Miles' and choose Qantas Airways as your earning preference.

Please note: 'Airline Miles' means Qantas Points. Where 1 Airline Mile = 1 Qantas Point.

Step 5 - Save changes

You'll now start earning:

Convert IHG Rewards Club points to Qantas Points

Need a few extra Qantas Points for a Qantas Award flight? Redeem your IHG® Rewards Club points for Qantas Points.

10,000 IHG® Rewards Club points can be converted to 2,000 Qantas Points^.

Important Information:

**Double Qantas Points means 6 Qantas Points per AU$1 spent instead of the usual earn rate of 3 Qantas Points per AU$1 spent at hotels within Australia; 2,000 Qantas Points per stay instead of the usual earn rate of 1,000 Qantas Points per stay at InterContinental Hotels & Resorts outside of Australia; and 1,200 Qantas Points per stay instead of the usual earn rate of 600 Qantas Points per stay at Crowne Plaza®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, and Staybridge Suites® outside of Australia. To earn double Qantas Points and receive a 20% discount on food and beverage you must be an IHG® Rewards Club member and present your Qantas Frequent Flyer card at check-in. Qantas Frequent Flyer members can join the IHG® Rewards Club online or at check-in. Qantas Points will be awarded on every qualifying stay# at participating InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Holiday Inn® and Holiday Inn Express®, and Staybridge Suites hotels for stays until 31 October 2014.
~20% food and beverage discount is not valid at Holiday Inn Express Hotels. 20% food and beverage discount excludes Room Service and Conference/Banqueting Events. Food and beverage charges must be posted to the room bill to receive 20% discount. Final bill will be presented in local currency.
* Qantas Frequent Flyer membership and the earning and redemption of Qantas Points are subject to the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program. Qantas points can only be awarded to the member who checks-in. Members cannot earn Qantas Points for another guest’s stay. Qantas Points cannot be split between two or more members occupying the same room. Qantas Points are not earned on cancelled bookings. Qantas Points are earned on no show bookings provided the member has paid for the booking in full and the booking has not been cancelled. At InterContinental Hotels & Resorts worldwide members who join IHG rewards will earn 1,000 Qantas Points per stay outside Australia and 3 Qantas Points per A$1 spent on full folio stays in Australia. At participating hotels within the IHG family, you can choose to collect IHG® Rewards Club points or Frequency Alliance miles/credits, which may vary by participating Frequency Alliance. You may not collect both IHG® Rewards Club points and Frequency Alliance miles/credits for the same stay, except during special promotions or offers. You can choose or change to only one Frequency Alliance at a time. To change selection, visit http://www.ihgrewardsclub.com/ or call the IHG® Rewards Club Service Center in your region. Earnings resulting in fractional Frequency Alliance miles/credits will be rounded down. Except as expressly set out otherwise in these Terms and Conditions, Frequency Alliance miles/credits are not awarded for fractions of a U.S. dollar spent, or for U.S. dollars spent on tax, VAT, GST, service charge, food and beverage, telephone, laundry, in-room movies, gratuities or hotel incidentals. If you elect automatic issuance for Qualifying Stays, Frequency Alliance miles/credits are collected as outlined at http://www.ihgrewardsclub.com/.
^ You may convert your IHG® Rewards Club points to Qantas Points only in block increments as listed at www.ihgrewardsclub.com. Qantas Points can take up to 6 weeks to appear in your Qantas Frequent Flyer account. For IHG® Rewards Club points that are converted to Qantas Points, the IHG® Rewards Club Programme will only be responsible for arranging for Qantas to post the appropriate credit to your account. Following such posting, all risk of loss, bankruptcy, theft or dishonour will be borne by you, and there shall be no refund or conversion of IHG® Rewards Club points into any other reward option. Once IHG® Rewards Club points are converted to Qantas Points, they cannot be converted back to IHG® Rewards Club points or shifted to another Frequency Alliance programme.
# A stay is defined as one night or consecutive nights at the same hotel, regardless of frequency of check-in/out. A stay is qualified when paying qualifying rates, which include most business and leisure rates.
