Alaska Airlines

Qantas is a partner of the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program. Join online.

Earning points

Members in the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan program may earn and use points on all Qantas operated flights between Los Angeles or Honolulu and Australia and New Zealand. Points may also be accumulated on Qantas codeshare services (operated on our behalf by another carrier, but showing a Qantas (QF) flight number) within the USA on American Airlines and Alaska Airlines; and on Air Pacific between the US and Fiji.

Business Class passengers earn an additional 25% mileage bonus, while First Class passengers earn an additional 50% mileage bonus.

Using points

Alaska Airline Mileage Plan members can use their points for certificates with Alaska Airlines. Once you are ready to book a flight to Australia or New Zealand on Qantas, request your Partner Award reservation by calling the Alaska Airlines Partner Desk at
1 800 307 6912, daily 5.00am to midnight (PT). Award redemptions may only be on Qantas operated aircraft.

Codeshare cities

Thanks to the Alaska Airlines and Qantas Airways partnership, passengers can fly to Australia and New Zealand from anywhere Alaska Airlines flies. In the following cities passengers can check in and not worry about their bags until they get to Australia or New Zealand.

Connections and transfers at airports

In Los Angeles, connecting passengers from Alaska Airlines flights will proceed from the Alaska Airlines gate in Terminal 3 to either the Tom Bradley International Terminal or Terminal 4. If you received a boarding pass at your point of origin, you may proceed directly to the departure gate, otherwise you will need to check in again at the Qantas check in desk.

Lounges

First and Business passengers are invited to our lounges in Los Angeles, as well as The Qantas Club lounges in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland.

Advanced Seat Selection

Pre-reserved seat requests are available on all codeshare services.

American Airlines

Qantas is a partner of the American Airlines AAdvantage program. There is no fee to join this program, and you are able to join online.

Earning points

AAdvantage members may earn miles on an eligible fare on any Qantas operated flight, anywhere in the world. You may also earn points on Qantas codeshare services (operated on our behalf by another carrier, but showing a Qantas (QF) flight number).

Business Class passengers earn an additional 25% mileage bonus, while First Class passengers earn an additional 50% mileage bonus.

American Airlines AAdvantage members may not be able to earn miles on certain Qantas web fares.

Using points

AAdvantage members can use their AAvantage miles for awards on Qantas flights worldwide, including a variety of awards between North America and Australia and New Zealand.

Codeshare cities

Thanks to the American Airlines and Qantas Airways partnership, passengers can fly to Australia and New Zealand from anywhere American Airlines flies. In the following codeshare cities, passengers can check in and not worry about their bags until they get to Australia or New Zealand.

In Honolulu, after disembarking from your American Airlines flight, proceed to the American Airlines desk for gate connection information, or to the Qantas ticket counter in Lobby 4.

British Airways and Qantas Airways are partners in the oneworld alliance, and Executive Club tier level members are recognized and valued in the same manner as our own Qantas Frequent Flyers. US and Canadian resident members may earn Executive Club miles on any flight with a Qantas flight number.

Business Class passengers earn an additional 25% mileage bonus, while First Class passengers earn an additional 50% mileage bonus.

Using points

British Airways Executive Club members can use their Executive Club miles for awards on flights to Australia and New Zealand travelling on Qantas Airways. More information on how to use Executive Club miles can be found on the British Airways website.

Continental Airlines

Qantas is a partner of the Continental Airlines OnePass program. The Continental Airlines OnePass program can be accessed online.

Earning Points

US and Canadian resident members may earn miles for travel from Los Angeles, Honolulu, New York (JFK) or Vancouver to Australia and New Zealand. Travel must originate from North America on Qantas services. Miles may also be earned on codeshare services between Los Angeles and Fiji, operated on our behalf by Air Pacific.
