At Qantas we pride ourselves on offering our customers a premium experience.

We often hear from our Frequent Flyers about the exceptional service they have received from our people. In 2010 we received over 6,000 letters and emails about how Qantas employees went out of their way to ensure you enjoyed your journey.

To recognise our employees for delighting our customers we run an employee recognition program called eXcel. This program celebrates the exceptional efforts of our people using their skills and experience to care for our customers.

Next time you fly, you might even notice one of our employees wearing the eXcel pin, a special badge seen as a 'mark of excellence' and a way of identifying our high achievers in the area of customer service.

2010 eXcel People's Choice Awards

eXcel Award winners

Employees nominated for their exceptional service will be eligible for the eXcel Frequent Flyers People's Choice Award. Judged by a panel of Frequent Flyers our recently announced 2010 winners are:

  • Beverly Mercieca and Joel Johansen from our Brisbane Airport Customer Service Team
  • Hisham Mansor - from Customer Services Singapore Airport
  • Tanya Pluckrose - a Customer Service Manager from our Sydney Longhaul A380 base

Awarded for the first time in 2005, the Frequent Flyer People's Choice Award was established to recognise employees nominated for their outstanding service by our Frequent Flyers.

Qantas Frequent Flyers can e-mail their nominations for the People's Choice Award online by selecting the category Your Experience with Qantas and then the sub-category Recognise Staff on the form.
