People's Choice Award
At Qantas we run a staff recognition program called eXcel. It celebrates the exceptional performance of our staff in the three areas of Service, Safety and Innovation.
We would love to hear from you if you have had an exceptional experience with Qantas, due to the outstanding efforts of one of our staff. If you would like to nominate a staff member that you think deserves special recognition in any of the three categories, e-mail us your comments.
Staff members highlighted for their exceptional service will be considered for recognition within the eXcel Frequent Flyers People's Choice Award. The Award is judged by a panel of Frequent Flyers.
2008 eXcel People's Choice Awards
The winners of the 2008 Frequent Flyer People's Choice Award were recognised at the annual eXcel awards presentation evening held in Sydney on 31 March 2009.
The winners are:
- Mark Spencer, Melbourne Telephone Sales Consultant,
- Janet Solevski, Sydney Domestic Qantas Club Agent, and
- Donce Kazan, Short Haul Flight Attendant.
In 2008 there were over 4,000 nominations and on 28 January 2009, a panel of Qantas Frequent Flyers were invited to select their 2008 eXcel Frequent Flyers People's Choice Award winners.
This year's panel, which represent all Qantas Frequent Flyer tiers, was hosted at the new Qantas Centre of Service Excellence. Following an hour of deliberation, the Qantas Frequent Flyers enjoyed dinner and entertainment from the Australian Youth Orchestra
Awarded in 2005 for the first time, the Frequent Flyer People's Choice Award was established to recognise employees nominated for their outstanding service by our Frequent Flyers. Compliments received by the Customer Care department from Frequent Flyers are automatically forwarded to the eXcel program for review and then considered for the award.
Qantas Frequent Flyer members can e-mail their Qantas Staff nominations for the People's Choice Award online by selecting the category Frequent Flyer and then the sub-category Recognise Staff on the form.
