It's not easy to qualify for Platinum One benefits. To reach this new recognition level, in each membership year you need to earn a minimum of 3,600 Status credits*,with at least 2,700 earned on Qantas marketed flights^ where Status credits normally accrue.

Dedicated to supporting Platinum One members, the team provides assistance when you need help beyond routine requests or where you need urgent assistance.
The team will also proactively monitor, support and enhance your travel experience every step of your journey.

When things don't go as planned
We are proud of our on time performance however sometimes bad weather, natural disasters, technical problems and other operational issues can cause flight delays and even cancellations.
Whilst we do all we can to minimise disruptions, it's an inevitable part of regular travel. If your plans are ever affected, the Platinum One Special Service Team will be on hand to help personally manage any flight changes or re-routes and provide support to get you back on track as soon as possible and minimise any inconvenience.

The Platinum Priority Telephone Service can help with general bookings, Flight Award bookings, Upgrade requests and general servicing, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Platinum One Special Service Team offer specialist support including urgent assistance with immediate travel.

Extra Award seats
Exclusive access to extra Qantas Classic Award seats
When it comes to leisure travel, we know it's important for you to use your points the way you want, when you want. It's easy to book Awards online and you'll continue to receive the same preferential access to Qantas Classic Award seats through qantas.com as you do today.
Platinum One members have access to extra Qantas Classic Award seats+ where available, on selected domestic and international flights on Qantas, with a QF flight number on your ticket. Call the Platinum Priority Telephone Service number on the back of your card for assistance.
Occasionally though, you may need a little extra help. In these special circumstances, send an email to our Platinum One Special Service Team and they'll do all they can to assist with your requests.
This benefit is available for Platinum One members and eligible family members in the same booking.
Say goodbye to Award Assistance Fees when booking flights
Qantas Frequent Flyers can avoid most fees when booking an Award Flight online. Platinum members also have the option of booking Award Flights through the dedicated Platinum Priority Telephone Service - you'll find the number on the back of your card. Platinum One members won't need to pay the usual fee if booking Award Flights over the phone, as we're waiving any Flight Award Assistance Fees~ which would normally apply.
These Platinum One benefits will be available from 07 November 2011 unless otherwise stated. Information is current as at February 2012 but may change from time to time. + Silver, Gold and Platinum Frequent Flyers already receive preferential access, when available, to selected Qantas Classic Award seats, and on selected flights, preferential access for Gold and Platinum may be above access available to Silver and Bronze members. Platinum One members will receive, where available, access to extra Qantas Classic Award seating on selected domestic and international Qantas operated flights (with a QF flight number on your ticket). Classic Award seat availability is limited and some flights may not have any Classic Awards available.
~ Award Assistance Fees will be waived for Platinum One members when booking Award Flights and Award Flight Upgrades using their points when booking through the Platinum Priority Telephone Service. All other fees continue to apply.

Extra upgrade seats
Exclusive access to extra seats for Flight Upgrade Awards+,where available, on Qantas operated domestic flights (with a QF number on your ticket). Contact the Platinum One Special Service Team during business hours for assistance.
A better International upgrade service
Platinum One members have their successful International upgrade requests confirmed where possible from up to 7 days prior to departure, which is up to five days earlier than Platinum members. Successful upgrades may be confirmed by SMS*.
Highest priority, right up until departure
You'll receive priority over other Frequent Flyers for International upgrade requests right up until the day of departure, giving you the best chance of having your request confirmed.
Plus, we'll let you know as soon as we can of your successful upgrade via SMS* even on the day of departure, giving you as much notice as we can so that you can plan accordingly.
Sharing your points, sharing the benefits
It's nice to be able to share your benefits. When you use your points to upgrade an eligible family member, they too can benefit from your Platinum One status. At the time their upgrade request is reviewed (which is based on their Frequent Flyer status) they'll have their upgrade processed at the Platinum One priority level, even if you're not travelling.

Complimentary exit row seating
You enjoy complimentary Exit Row Seating†, where available, on selected Qantas operated International flights (flight numbers QF1-QF199). Exit Row Seating can be requested via our Platinum Priority Telephone Service up until three hours before your scheduled departure time, and Platinum One members will not pay the fee that would normally apply.
Additional premium seating
Platinum One members enjoy access to more seating options in the first few rows of the Economy cabin (subject to availability) when using Advance Seat Selection‡ at qantas.com, on selected Qantas operated flights with a QF number on your ticket. Advance Seat Selection is available on qantas.com immediately after booking.
Access to the Qantas MCA Lounge
The Qantas MCA Lounge provides a city based space for Platinum One members and their guests** to meet, work and relax overlooking Sydney Harbour.
Located at 140 George St, The Rocks - Sydney, this sophisticated loft-style space is located on the ground floor facing Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House and features artworks from the MCA collection. Daily newspapers and MCA publications are available for you to browse and free wifiΔ enables access to the internet and emails. Complimentary tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available throughout the day and you can dine al fresco on the deck serviced by the MCA restaurant.^^
As an added benefit, Qantas Platinum One members can also hire the Boardroom, located within the Qantas MCA Lounge. The Boardroom can accommodate up to 14 guests and is available to hire on a half or full day basis between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm. The benefits of membership include access to purchase fine wine selected by the Qantas Wine Panel for our First and Business customers, as well as other premium vintages from the Qantas cellars' range of wineries and winemakers.
