About Jetstar Any Seat Awards

Jetstar Any Seat Awards offer flexibility and choice when using your points to book an Award Flight.

Jetstar Any Seat Awards allow you to use points for any available seat on all domestic and international Jetstar flights with a Jetstar (JQ) flight number. That means you can book using points only or Points Plus Pay. You can't book a Jetstar Any Seat Award on Jetstar Asia, Valuair or Pacific Airlines.
Note: Award Flights must be booked at least 24 hours before scheduled departure (some locations and fares require earlier advance booking).

Points required for Jetstar Any Seat Awards are inclusive of surcharges, fees and taxes (other than any local payment for airport fees or charges).

You can redeem Jetstar Any Seat Awards for yourself and for any eligible family member.

How Many Points Do You Need?

The points required for a Jetstar Any Seat Award will vary for each booking (even for the same itinerary). Flights with higher demand may require more points.

The points required for Any Seat Awards are determined by Qantas Frequent Flyer and there is no fixed relationship between the price charged by Jetstar for a seat and the points needed to redeem a Jetstar Any Seat Award. Not all Jetstar special promotional fares are available as Any Seat Awards. Fare conditions for Any Seat Awards are also different to the fare conditions applicable to cash fares.

The points quoted in the Any Seat Award booking processes are for the selected Any Seat Award itinerary only and are only valid when quoted. If you delay your booking or do not proceed to make your booking at that time, the points quoted for your requested itinerary may change.

A particular itinerary may be available as more than one Award Type (ie Qantas & Partner Classic Awards, Qantas Any Seat Awards and/or Jetstar Any Seat Awards). Points required for each Award Type for the same itinerary may be different and each may have different fare conditions. The booking process for each Award Type is separate from the others.

When you're a little short of the points you need for the minimum number of points required for an Any Seat Award, you could consider using Top-Up Points or a Family Transfer from an eligible family member.

Points Plus Pay

You have two options to redeem a Jetstar Any Seat Award. Any Seat Awards allow you to redeem 100% points including surcharges, fees and taxes (excluding any local payment for airport fees or changes) or Points Plus Pay. With Points Plus Pay, you can choose the number of points and the amount of money that you wish to use for an Award. A minimum number of points must be redeemed so you cannot pay 100% money. The minimum number of points required will vary and will be quoted during the booking process.

For Points Plus Pay redemptions, any money amount payable for a Jetstar Any Seat Award requires immediate credit card payment at the time of booking. Required points must also be available at the time of booking. When you use Points Plus Pay additional GST and charges may apply.

Booking a Jetstar Any Seat Award

You can book your Jetstar Any Seat Award online.* To start the booking process, select the Jetstar Any Seat Award type. The booking process for each Award Type is separate from the others and so we recommend you consider and compare each of the Award Type booking options before you finalise your booking.

Jetstar Any Seat Awards based on JetSaver Light fares are not available online. To access these Jetstar Any Seat Awards, call 1300 308 911 within Australia, 0800 770 778 within NZ or elsewhere on +61 2 9921 5223 between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). An Assisted Award booking fee applies for Award bookings made or completed worldwide via a consultant. JetSaver Light fares and Jetstar Any Seat Awards based on them only allow carry-on baggage, but the points required may not be less than the points required for other Jetstar Any Seat Awards available online.

Assisted Award Booking Fee

An Assisted Award Booking Fee of 2,500 points per passenger, per booking applies for Award bookings made or completed worldwide via a consultant. For Jetstar Any Seat Awards this fee is redeemed using points but in some cases payment by money is an option.

The service fee applies regardless of your Frequent Flyer status and to children and infants occupying a seat.

This fee applies only to making the initial booking. Other service fees and charges apply to changes and cancellations. The fee is non-refundable.

To avoid the service fee, you can book Jetstar Any Seat Award flights online.

A fee will apply to all other Jetstar Any Seat Award flights as they can only be booked through a consultant.

Changing Your Jetstar Any Seat Award

• All additional collections, including servicing fees and change fees, are to be paid with money (eg by credit card, BPAY, cash or other accepted form of payment).
• Partial refunds are not permitted for Jetstar Any Seat Awards.

Refunds

Jetstar Any Seat Awards are non refundable.

Jetstar Any Seat Award Conditions

Jetstar Any Seat Award booking and fare conditions, including terms applicable to changes, cancellations and refunds, will vary according to the Any Seat Award booked. Jetstar Any Seat Award conditions are available at the website at the time of booking. We recommend that you review carefully the applicable fare conditions at the time of booking.

Some of the fare conditions that typically apply to Jetstar Any Seat Awards, that do not usually apply to non-Award fares offered by the applicable airline, are as follows:

• Points and Status credits are not earned on Jetstar Any Seat Awards.
• A Jetstar Any Seat Award cannot be changed to a Classic Award or vice versa.
• You cannot combine a Jetstar Any Seat Award or a Qantas Any Seat Award with a Classic Award in the same booking.
• You cannot combine a Jetstar Any Seat Award with a Qantas Any Seat Award in the same booking.
• Award Flights must be booked at least 24 hours before scheduled departure (some locations and fares require earlier advance booking).
• Online check-in is not available for Jetstar Any Seat Awards.
