Airmail Services

Airmail was carried on the first Qantas international flight between Darwin and Singapore on the 26th of February 1935.

Today Qantas Freight carries mail on behalf of approximately 114 Postal Administrations worldwide and is recognised as a quality conscious and committed airmail carrier.

The success of the airmail business is built on schedule reliability, a comprehensive network, an understanding of the needs of the postal community and the ability to deliver capacity at critical times of the year.

Qantas Freight has introduced automation via EDI links and barcode scanning and its dedicated airmail tracking system LeoPost.

LeoPost

LeoPost is Qantas Freight’s automated airmail tracking system.

Postal Administrations can now log into LeoPost and track their mail.

Mail can be tracked as an individual item, an airline unit or flight number. The history of each mail receptacle is available online, complete with a breakdown of scanning events, flight uplifts and delivery to the end postal administrator. The journey can be tracked between the relevant airline and postal administration. All you need is the 29 character barcode identifier and your LeoPost login.
