Qantas flight attendants are selected for their natural, genuine, engaging and confident personalities and their ability to use their initiative in any situation.
There are two cabin crew divisions - Long Haul and Short Haul. Short Haul flight attendants crew B767, B737 and A330 aircraft to major Australian and some international destinations. Long Haul flight attendants crew B767, B747 and A330 aircraft to major cities throughout the world as well as some Australian destinations.

Flying definitely comes with a unique lifestyle - sign on times and working hours are very different from the normal nine-to-five, five days a week role. Flight attendants will often work through weekends and holidays and can be away from home for long periods of time.

If you're accepted as a flight attendant you will undertake a comprehensive training program that will cover a variety of topics including customer service, medical aviation, aircraft and personal safety, emergency procedures.
