Applicability
For overseas originating passengers (that is, outside Australia, New Zealand or South West Pacific) in conjunction with return/one way international air/sea travel to/from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji or Vanuatu on Qantas and British Airways, Air Pacific and Air Vanuatu only. Fares only apply if purchased before departure.
Period
of Application
Travel must have commenced by 31 March 2008.
Maximum
Stay
All travel must be completed within the validity of the international ticket.
Children and Infants
Children aged 2 to 11 years inclusive and infants occupying a seat pay 75% of the applicable adult fare.
Infant under the age of 2 years, and not occupying a seat, pays 10% of the applicable adult fare.
Fares
Minimum of two sectors must be purchased before arrival in Australia, New Zealand or the South West Pacific. Only one pass per passenger is permitted.
Permitted Stopovers
None other than by payment of the sector fares. Note - a stopover is a break of journey at an intermediate point when onward travel does not take place on the same calendar day.
Routings
When a transfer is from an international flight to domestic flight or vice versa, or international to international then transfers are not permitted. International transfers are not permitted except upon payment of sector fares. Surface sectors are permitted. Except for the country of origin of the Boomerang pass, no country may be visited more than once. It is advisable to check your routing with our nearest Qantas office or contact your local travel agent.
Combinations
The Boomerang Pass must be purchased in conjunction with international air/sea travel to/from Australia, New Zealand and the South West Pacific.
Bookings
Confirmed booking for the first sector of the pass must be made before arrival in Australia, New Zealand or the South West Pacific (second sector can be left open dated until after arrival). Reservations for all other sectors may be made at any time subject to availability. Waitlisting is not permitted.
Changes
Re-issue is required where there is a change of route. Changes requiring re-issue are permitted at a fee of A$100 per re-issue. Changes requiring re-validation permitted at a fee of A$100 per re issue. Local administration charges may apply.
Cancellations and Refunds
Before departure - refund of the fare paid less A$100. After commencement of travel , if the minimum conditions of the pass have been met, a full refund of unused coupons less A$100. If minimum conditions of the pass have not been met, the refund if any will be the difference between the fare paid and an the applicable fare, less A$100. No show fee of A$100 applies.
At anytime, at a fee of A$100 the fare may be used as credit towards payment of a higher fare provided conditions of the higher fare have been met and any applicable fees and charges have been deducted.
