Qantas Updates Freighter Aircraft
Qantas today announced its intention to lease a Boeing 747-400ERF freighter aircraft for its global freight business.
Sydney International Freight Terminals Update
In January we announced the new business model for our combined Qantas/AaE freight business and mentioned we were working on a solution for how our Sydney terminals would operate. In February and March we conducted internal analysis and met with a number of our existing customers to determine how we can best meet their current and forecast business needs.

Charges Correction Advice (CCA) Fee - Japan
Please be advised that effective 01 January 2013, Qantas Freight will introduce a Charges Correction Advise (CCA) fee. The fee will be levied to recover costs incurred by Qantas Freight when notified of changes to charges and/or method of payment inserted on an AWB.
Charges Correction Advice (CCA) Fee Amendment - Hong Kong

Joint Ventures with Australia Post
This morning Qantas announced it had reached agreement to acquire 100 per cent of Australian air Express (AaE) and sell its 50 per cent stake in StarTrack to Australia Post.
AaE will be brought into the Qantas Group under Qantas Freight.

Qantas Freight Shanghai City Office Relocation
Please be advised Qantas Freight's Shanghai city office (Plaza 66, Nanjing Xi Road) will close 14 October 2012 and relocate to the existing Qantas Freight Shanghai Pudong International Airport freight office (located in PACTL Freight Terminal) 15 October 2012.
Qantas and Emirates Partnership
The Qantas Group today announced a partnership with Emirates to commence from April 2013, subject to regulatory approval. From April 2013, Qantas aircraft will operate from Sydney and Melbourne to London via Emirates' Dubai hub. We will continue to market the belly space of these services adding Dubai to our network of Freight destinations.

Electronic Reporting of House Air Waybill Data for Shipments to South Korea

Australian Freight Terminal Service Issues
On 14 September 2011, our Australian Terminals cutover to a new operating system replacing applications that were, in some cases, more than 20 years old. A change of this size naturally requires some adjustment and while the technical cutover occurred without a hitch, bedding down new business processes has taken longer than expected.
