Aussie AirPass from Canada - Terms and Conditions

Taxes, fees and surcharges:

Prices do not include fuel surcharges of approximately C$322.60 for the International flights and the three free stopover flights in Australia and the Navigation Services Surcharge of C$30. Additional insurance and fuel surcharges per flight will apply to additional Australian domestic flights purchased. C$22.70 per sector on Qantas flight numbers QF1400-1499/2000-2849. C$22.40 per sector on all other Qantas domestic Australia flight numbers. U.S. and foreign taxes, fees, including September 11th Security Fee, are an additional C$150 to C$200 depending upon itinerary.

Zone definitions:

Zone 1 cities include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart and Launceston.
Zone 2 cities include Cairns, Townsville, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore) and Hamilton Island.
Zone 3 cities include Mackay, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Hervey Bay, Ballina, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Lord Howe Island, Alice Springs and Ayers Rock.
Zone 4 cities include Perth, Broome, Karratha, Darwin, Gove and Hayman Island.

Zone combinations:

All zones are combinable with each other.

Note: The highest round trip fare based on the furthest zone in the itinerary will be charged.

Flight restrictions:

For AirPass (Q-PS) type fares:
Travel between Los Angeles and Australia is valid on all Qantas operated flights. Travel between Canadian domestic cities and Los Angeles is valid on Qantas and American Airlines flight numbers only. Exception: Travel to and from Calgary and Edmonton may via Vancouver or Los Angeles using Air Canada flight numbers.

For AirPass (S-PS) type fares:
Travel between Los Angeles and Australia is valid on all Qantas operated flights. Travel between Canadian domestic cities and Los Angeles is valid on all Canadian add-on carriers.

Minimum stay:

Return travel must commence no earlier than 7 days after departure from Canada.

Maximum stay:

For AirPass (Q-PS) type fares, the maximum stay permitted is 45 days. For AirPass (S-PS) type fares, the maximum stay permitted is 3 months. A surcharge of C$500 applies.

Note: All travel must commence on or before 31 October 2009.

Stopovers:

Three free stopovers plus unlimited within Australia for an additional fee of C$150 per stop.

Reservations and ticketing:

Reservations for all flights must be confirmed. Bookings are only available 11 months in advance from date of reservation. Form of payment must be provided at the end of transaction. For AirPass (Q-PS) type fares, tickets will be issued within 72 hours of confirmation. For AirPass (S-PS) type fares, reservations must be made 7 days before departure and tickets will be issued within 72 hours of confirmation. The Qantas Aussie AirPass is valid for ticketing through 31 December 2008.

Child discounts:

Children aged between 2 and 11 years pay 75% of the adult fare. A maximum of 2 child fares per adult permitted. Infants under 2 years and not occupying a seat pay 10% of the adult fare.

Booking changes:

Date changes are permitted for a fee of C$150 per person per change. Rerouting is not permitted at anytime. Note: other conditions apply. Contact Qantas reservations or your travel agent for all conditions.

Cancellation:

Tickets are non refundable. Other conditions apply. Contact Qantas reservations or your travel agent for all conditions.

Visa requirements:

It is the passenger's responsibility to ensure all visa requirements are complied with.

Qantas codeshare flights:

Flights from Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Chicago, Newark, Miami, Orlando, Washington DC, Dallas, Denver, Las Vegas, St. Louis, San Diego, and San Francisco are operated by American Airlines. Flights from Calgary, Vancouver, Portland and Seattle are operated by Alaska Airlines.

All prices are in Canadian dollars and are based on round trip Economy class travel.
