If you are a member of a oneworld airline's frequent flyer program, you will earn miles/points* on eligible flights. You will also enjoy all the privileges to which your membership status entitles you.

Each oneworld alliance airline reserves the right to change its frequent flyer program rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers, and to end its frequent flyer program in accordance with its relevant frequent flyer program rules. Fares
The fare you pay is based on the number of oneworld continental zones you visit or pass through (including your continent of origin), and the class you fly in.# Children 2 to 11 years of age may be eligible to travel at 75% of the applicable fare; infants without a seat may be eligible to travel at 10% of the applicable fare.*

# If an aircraft serving part of your itinerary doesn't have a first or business cabin, customers will be booked into a lower class cabin. Mileage and tier points can only be accrued from eligible fares in the cabin flown.

Qantas Premium Economy
Premium Economy, a new choice in international travel offering enhanced personal space and comfort, is currently available for travel on selected flights departing Sydney to London, Singapore, Bangkok and Johannesburg.*
Premium Economy will also be available for travel from August 2008 departing Sydney to Hong Kong, and for travel from May 2008 departing Melbourne to London, Singapore and Hong Kong. Premium Economy will be progressively introduced on selected B747-400 services departing Sydney and Melbourne to the US (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco) from late 2008, and will be available on the Qantas A380, scheduled for delivery from August 2008.*

Example 3 (6 continental zones)
Melbourne to Auckland to Santiago to Buenos Aires to New York to Toronto to Chicago to Dublin to London to Helsinki to Madrid to Johannesburg to Cape Town to Johannesburg to Hong Kong to Melbourne.
Planning your itinerary
You decide whether to visit 4, 5 or 6 of our oneworld Explorer continental zones.
oneworld continental zones are defined as:
- Europe and the Middle East (including Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Sudan and Tunisia)
- Africa (excluding Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Sudan and Tunisia)
- Asia (including the Indian Subcontinent)
- South West Pacific (including Australia, New Zealand)
- North America (including Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and Panama)
- South America
Fare Rules
- The date of the first intercontinental flight determines the seasonal fare to be charged.
- Travel between continents must be in a continuous forward direction either westward or eastward except that you are free to roam locally at will within a continental zone.
- Travel may not be via the point of origin.
- You may take 2 stopovers# in total within your continent of origin in order to get to or from a gateway to commence or return from your international travel, subject to the Flight Limitations set out below. A stopover is where your onward travel does not take place within 24 hours.
- Travel to Europe from the South West Pacific, Africa or South America is considered as travelling through 4 continents.
- Travel between Japan and Brazil on a single flight number is considered as travelling through 3 continents; Asia, North America and South America.
- After departing from your continent of origin, you are allowed 4 flight segments (6 in North America) within each continental zone. Additional flight segments may be purchased at an additional charge. A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 16 segments, including flight segments and surface segments are permitted on the entire itinerary. A flight segment is where a passenger flies between two points on the same flight number. A surface segment is where a passenger makes his or her own way between any two airports.
- Your oneworld Explorer trip can be as short as 10 days (excluding the date of departure) or as long as one year.^
- Travel is permitted on the services of Qantas, British Airways, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific,+ Finair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, LAN, Malev Hungarian Airlines and Royal Jordanian. Travel is also permitted on a oneworld member airline affiliate.
- You must nominate the destinations you wish to travel to at the time you purchase your fare. However, you can leave your second and subsequent flights open-dated so you can schedule your trip as you go along.
- A charge may be payable for changes to a booking. If the change requires your ticket to be re-issued this may take up to 24 hours.
Flight Limitations
- Within Australia only one non stop flight is permitted between Perth and Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne or Sydney; or between Darwin and Melbourne or Sydney; or between Broome and Melbourne or Sydney. This restriction does not apply for passengers originating their travel in Perth or New Zealand when travelling to/from Africa on the Melbourne or Sydney to Perth direct flights.
- Only one intercontinental departure and one intercontinental arrival permitted in each continent except as follows:
1. Two permitted in North America. when one is a transfer without stopover.
2. Two permitted in Asia when one is a transfer without stopover or on direct single plane service between the Southwest Pacific and Europe.
3. For travel to/from or via Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania two permitted in Europe when one is a transfer without stopover between Ghana/Nigeria/Kenya/Uganda/Tanzania and another continent.
- No more than two flight segments are permitted between the United Kingdom and the following: Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Israel, Macedonia, Malta, Morocco, Funchal, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Tunisia, Ukraine, Yugoslavia and the Middle East.
- Within North America, only one transcontinental flight segment is allowed between selected cities on the east and west coast.
- Transoceanic surface sectors are not permitted. Exception: for travel originating in South West Pacific, one transoceanic surface sector is permitted. An example of a transoceanic surface sector is when you do a cruise in place of a flight at your own expense.
# No stopover permitted in Hong Kong if travel is via Hong Kong to Rome on QF3860/3861.
^ Except if originating from South West Pacific or Hong Kong where, if in first and business class, there is no minimum stay.
+ Travel is not permitted on Cathay Pacific flights between Hong Kong and Hanoi.

oneworld Explorer is available on scheduled flights that are both operated and marketed by a oneworld airline, or on a oneworld member airline affiliate. (Marketed means there must be a oneworld airline flight number on the ticket.)
