Maximum Protection Coverage

Whether you rent a car while traveling on business or on holiday within Australia, it's important to know that you are protected in the event of damage.

In the event of damage, Accident Damages Excess will apply per incident regardless of fault.

Hertz Maximum Cover (MAX) provides the highest level of renter protection.

MAX:

For peace of mind, enquire about MAX Cover when you pick up your vehicle in Australia. MAX renter protection is available at selected locations from only AUD30.91 per day (exclusive of GST and other associated charges). MAX is not available for 4WD or commercial vehicles.

Hertz Value Vouchers

Hertz offers complimentary "Value Vouchers" to travelers in Australia.

The vouchers offer discounts at various participating establishments. These range from local restaurants, retail stores, and accommodation to adventure trip companies, popular tourist attractions and fuel. There is something for everyone; whether you want to go ballooning in Surfer's Paradise, wildlife sailing in Western Australia, or simply dining at fabulous restaurants after visiting Australia's many fascinating cultural museums.

You can pick up a Hertz Value Voucher booklet for the specific region you are visiting at selected Hertz rental counters.

Pre-purchase Fuel

Selected Hertz locations in Australia allow you to pre-purchase the tank of fuel at a discounted/competitive price, at the start of the rental. You may return the vehicle with as little fuel as you feel comfortable with. This option eliminates the need to refill the tank before returning the vehicle. There is no refund for unused fuel, therefore the less fuel in the tank at return, the more money you save.

Child and Booster Seats

Hertz have taken great care in selecting the three types of child seats that are offered.

Infant seats

Mounted rear-facing seats for infants who weigh up to 9kg (19.8lbs). These seats are designed to support a child's neck, back and spinal cord.

Child seats

Mounted face forward for children weighing between 9kg and 18kg (19.8lbs and 40lbs). Parents of children who have outgrown infant car seats are encouraged to use these seats rear-facing until the child has reached the upper weight limits of the seat for rear-facing use.

Booster seats

The belt-positioning booster seats are used in the back seat for children who have outgrown a child seat or weigh up to 25kg (55lbs). The booster seat must be used in seating positions equipped with lap and shoulder seatbelts.

Each seat is charged at AUD8.80 per day (including GST). The maximum charge of AUD61.60 (including GST) applies to rentals of 7 days or more.

Hertz has trained installers who will install Hertz seats for you (available at selected locations). Although Hertz have secured the seat, it is the renter's responsibility to check and adjust the mountings, harness/straps/clips, and the suitability of the provided seat in relation to the child's weight, size and age, to ensure that the seat is properly installed and fitted and that the child is firmly and appropriately secured.

Infant, child and booster seats are subject to availability and advanced reservations are required.

Camping Equipment

Hertz offers a complete camping kit for two or four people for an additional charge, for a minimum of seven days or more, in conjunction with a Toyota Landcruiser 4WD or similar in the Kimberley Region, Western Australia.
