Ticketing

Contact Qantas Reservations within the United Kingdom for assistance with any ticketing or re-booking requirements.

Check-in

Check-in is located in Zones F and G.

Zone F is for economy customers, on-line check-in bag drop and for customers wishing to use the self bag drop facility which is exclusive to Qantas customers.

Zone G is for First, Business and Premium Economy customers, Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers and Qantas Club members.

Check-in opens five hours before Qantas International flights to Australia.

Online Check-in is available for Qantas international flights (QF1-199), and other eligible connecting flights operated by oneworld, partner and codeshare airlines. Online Check-in opens 24 hours before your flight departure and closes 2 hours before international flight departures.

Note: For Qantas codeshare flights, customers need to check in with the operating carrier rather than with Qantas. Ask our team at the airport for more detail.

Conformance and Security Checks

Before you reach the departure gates, you will need to proceed through a conformance check and security.

The conformance check is simply a check of your boarding pass to see if you're in the correct terminal (and for any customers travelling domestically within the UK, to have a digital photograph taken). The process is easy and straight forward - simply present your boarding pass to the Heathrow Airport staff at the entrance to security or simply scan the bar code on your boarding pass at one of the automated barriers.

Security checks at Heathrow are carried out by Heathrow Airport security staff and are quite detailed. The Liquids, Aerosols and Gels (LAGS) policies are strictly enforced; regulation-sized plastic bags are readily available at the entrance to security. All LAGS and electronic devices must be removed from your cabin baggage for screening.

Arrival Information

If you're ending your journey at Heathrow, you will need to clear Immigration formalities, collect your baggage and then clear Customs.

In Terminal 3, all UK and EU passport holders should clear immigration through the dedicated lanes located on the left as you enter the Immigration hall. No paperwork is required. Biometric enabled passport holders can also use the dedicated 'self clearance' machines

For all other passport holders, the cabin crew onboard will provide you with a UK Border Agency landing card which you should complete and have ready when you join the 'other passports' lane.

Baggage carousels are located in the Arrivals hall (ground floor). Information monitors display flight carousel numbers. Baggage trolley's are readily available and are free of charge.

Dnata is the Qantas Ground Handling Agent at Heathrow and have a Baggage Services counter located in the Arrivals hall.

Transfer between Terminals

If you have been through checked to your final destination, on arrival in Terminal 3, simply follow the purple coloured signs to Flight Connections. From here you will be provided with a free airside bus to your next departure terminal or can access the departures level if your next flight departs from Terminal 3.

Alternatively, the Heathrow Express offers free travel between Terminals; the station is approximately a 10 min walk via underground walkway from the Terminal 3 arrivals area.
