Passengers travelling to New York on QF107 will have already cleared immigration and customs formalities at Los Angeles International Airport on arrival in the United States. There are no further formalities to be completed on arrival in New York.

Passengers departing the United States on QF108 will have immigration cards removed at check-in. If you are transferring from another flight to QF108, this form will be collected from you at the departure gate.

There are no further formalities to be completed on departure at either New York or Los Angeles, and your baggage will be checked through to your onward destination.

Limited International ticketing facilities are available at the British Airways counter in Terminal 7. Open from 7am to 10.30pm.
Limited International ticketing facilities are available at the American Airlines counter in Terminal 8. Open from 6am to 9pm.

Check-in
In Terminal 7, check-in is performed by British Airways and is open from 2.30pm to 6.15pm. Economy check-in for Qantas flights is available on the left hand side at the far end of the main lobby, next to the security check point.
Check-in for First, Business, Chairmans Lounge, Qantas Club and oneworld Emerald passengers is available on the left hand side of the terminal. Follow the signs to British Airways First check-in.
In Terminal 8, check-in is actioned by American Airlines and is located on the Upper level. Counters are labelled for First, Business and Economy.
Online Check-in is available for Qantas international flights (QF1-199), and other eligible connecting flights operated by oneworld, partner and codeshare airlines. Online Check-in opens 24 hours before your flight departure and closes 2 hours before international flight departures.
Transfer between Terminals: Passengers are able to transfer between all terminals using the AirTrain. Trains run approximately every 4 minutes, no charge. Travel between terminals takes approximately 5-10 minutes.

In Terminal 7, Baggage is available from the domestic baggage carousels.
Baggage Services is handled by British Airways. The counter is located on the lower level.
In Terminal 8, Baggage is available on the Arrivals level.
Baggage Services is handled by American Airlines. The counter is located on the Arrivals level.
Qantas Club: In Terminal 7, the British Airways Terraces Lounge is located airside, above the departures level.
In Terminal 8, the American Airlines Admirals Club is located on the upper level, after security. Open from 6am to 10pm.

Getting to and from the Airport

Transport Details
Car The airport is approximately a 60 minute drive from the city.

Taxis Fixed price (yellow) taxis operate from John F Kennedy International Airport to Manhattan. Fares are US$45 one way, excluding tolls and gratuities in either direction. Fares to other locations including Queens, Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island are metered. Competively priced private car services are also available and can be pre-booked.
Buses Fares start from US$8 per adult one way.
Train The AirTrain departs regularly to Jamaica Station where connections are available to the New York City Subway system.
Fares start at US$5 one way.
Travel on the 'E' line to Manhattan is US$2 one way, journey time from Jamaica Station is approximately 1 hour.
Travel on the Long Island Railroad System is US$6 one way to Manhattan and takes approximately 30 minutes from Jamaica Station.
