Sydney International Terminal redevelopment: A new Customs entry point will open on the departures level, opposite check-in counter E. In addition a new separate entry for eligible Express Path passengers will open the entry is located opposite check-in counter D*. *Eligible Qantas passengers; Chairmans Lounge, passengers travelling in First or Business and Platinum Frequent Flyers and oneworld Emerald Frequent Flyers.

There are 3 terminals in Sydney
T1 - Sydney International Terminal:
Qantas flights QF1-QF399, oneworld flights and Jetstar International flights operate from this terminal.
T2 - Sydney Domestic Airport:
QantasLink flights QF1600 and above and Jetstar domestic flights operate from this terminal.
T3 - Qantas Sydney Domestic Airport:
Qantas Domestic flights QF400-QF1599 operate from this terminal.
Note: QantasLink Canberra departures and arrivals operate from this terminal.
Departure information:


Ticket Counter
Located on the Departures Level (Level 1) next to check-in counter B.
Open from 5.30am to 9.45pm.
Check-in
Check-in is located on the Departures Level (Level 1) and is open from 4.00am AEST daily.
Economy check-in is available from various counters. Check your flights' counter number on the information screens located throughout the check-in area.
Business, Premium Economy and Qantas Club passenger check-in is available at the northern side of check-in counter D.
First, Platinum, Chairmans Lounge and oneworld Emerald passengers can access the First Class Check-in Suite located at the end of check-in counter D.
Group check-in is located on the Departures Level (Level 1) at the southern side of check-in counter E.
Passengers travelling on a Domestic sector of an International flight check your flights' counter number on the information screens.
Online Check-in is available for Qantas international flights (QF1-199), and other eligible connecting flights operated by oneworld, partner and codeshare airlines. Online Check-in opens 24 hours before your flight departure and closes 2 hours before international flight departures.
Transfer between Terminals: Transferring from T1 (International Airport) to T2 and T3 (Domestic Airports):
A shuttle bus service is available to passengers that are connecting to a Qantas or QantasLink operated flight only. After you clear customs, recheck your baggage at the Seamless Transfer Check-in counters and then board the shuttle bus for the Domestic terminal.* It operates from 6am to 12noon every 10 minutes and from 12noon until 9.00pm AEST every 20 minutes. The bus arrives at T3 opposite Gate 1. Check the screens for departure gate information. Passengers connecting to a flight not operated by Qantas or QantasLink should refer to the Sydney Airport website for further information on transfer options.
Transferring from T2 and T3 (Domestic Airports) to T1 (International Airport):
The Transfer Lounge is located airside (after passing through the security check point), opposite Gate 1 in T3. A shuttle bus service is available to passengers that are travelling or have travelled on a Qantas flight (including codeshare flights^) or oneworld flight. The shuttle buses operate every 10-20 minutes from 6am to 9.00pm AEST. On arrival at T1 proceed up the escalator, through immigration and security to your departure gate. If you do not have a boarding pass for your International flight, proceed to the check-in counters.
Transferring between T3 and T2 (Domestic Airports):
Walking is the best method and takes approximately 7 minutes. Simply follow the pedestrian walkways and directional signs through the car park or through the airport train tunnel link.
Arrival Information: Baggage carousels are in the Arrivals area located on the ground floor. Baggage Services has a counter located on the Arrivals Level (Ground floor) near the glass lifts.
Open from 6am to 10pm.
Qantas Club: Located in the Departures lounge at Pier B.
Open from 5.00am until the last flight departure.
First Lounge: The new First Lounge is now open. The Marc Newson designed lounge features a restaurant and chair-side dining with a menu created by Neil Perry, spa treatment rooms and showers, library, business facilities and a concierge service.

* Non-Qantas and non-oneworld passengers transferring to a Qantas, QantasLink or Jetstar domestic flight between 6.30am and 9.30am proceed to the Seamless Transfer area where you will be directed to a dedicated bus bay outside the terminal for your transfer to the Domestic terminal. The bus arrives at T3 next to the Group check-in area. Proceed to check-in with your baggage.

Getting to and from the Airport

Transport Details
Car The airport is approximately a 30 minute drive from the city.

Buses Sydney buses operate services to Sydney city and surrounding airport suburbs.

Tourism Information The Information counter is located in the Arrivals hall.
Medical Centre Located on Level 2. Open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday. Closed on Public Holidays.
Baggage trolleys Trolley hire is available throughout the airport.
Cost is A$4 per trolley (coins only) for departing passengers, and free for arriving passengers.
Baggage Storage Located at the northern end of the Arrivals Hall and is operated by SmarteCarte.
Prices start at A$7.
Baggage Strapping Located in the Departures Hall.
