Australian Olympic Committee
Qantas has been a proud partner of the AOC for over 40 years and was the Official Airline of the 2010 and 2012 Australian Olympic Teams. Qantas will continue their support of the Australian Olympic Team for another four years and will carry the team to and from Rio in 2016.
The Australian Olympic Committee is committed to Australia's athletes and encourages the development of high performance sport through athlete support and funding initiatives. The role of the AOC also extends to spreading the Olympic spirit and ideals throughout the wider community, even in the years between Olympic Games.
It is the AOC's responsibility to select, send and fund Australian Teams to the Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games, Youth Olympic Games and Winter Youth Olympic Games.
The AOC is also committed to the education of Australia's youth through programs including the a.s.p.i.r.e. school network, the annual Pierre de Coubertin Awards and State & National Australian Olympic Academies.
Australian Paralympic Committee
The Australian Paralympic Committee (APC) helps Australians with disabilities participate in sport and compete at the Paralympic Summer and Winter Games.
The APC believe participation in sport provides social and physical benefits to people with disabilities and plays an important role in changing perceptions of people with disabilities and encouraging more diversity in the community.
As the Official Airline of the Australian Paralympic Committee, we are proud to support every Australian Paralympian to achieve their sporting potential and to inspire every Australian by the Paralympic spirit.
A true partnership, Qantas carries Paralympic athletes to competitions around Australia and the globe. The Australian Paralympic Committee works with Qantas to deliver best practice systems to ensure our customers along with their equipment arrive safely and ready to achieve their best.
