Qantas is much more than just a global airline company. In fact, within the Qantas Group there are a number of business units designed to support the Chief Executive Officer in the administration of the Group's many corporate functions, as well as roles that fit into the career paths listed at left.

These business units include Public Company and Legal Services, Government and International Relations which deliver effective levels of service and advice that help to make Qantas a market leading, worldwide organisation.

Legal Services

The global diversity of the Qantas Group's operations offer unique and exciting career opportunities in a wide variety of legal avenues including commercial property, litigation, corporations law and aircraft leasing. The Qantas Legal Services team provides specialised counsel to the Qantas Group including legal advice, coordinating litigation and advising on acquisitions and divestments.

As part of the Legal Services team you will have the advantage of ongoing and in-depth training and support as you work closely with Qantas staff in all areas related to the commercial operations of the Qantas Group both within Australia and Internationally.

Public Company

The Public Company Department has oversight for all Qantas Group corporate governance issues. This includes compliance with the Qantas Group's obligations to the ASX, ASIC and corporate regulators in other relevant jurisdictions as well as supporting the Qantas Board of Directors in carrying out its governance role.

Government and International Relations

Operating in one of the most highly regulated industries in the world, liaison with governments and compliance with aviation regulatory requirements are integral to the Qantas Group's success. As the primary interface between the Qantas Group and governments, the Government and International Relations team seeks to influence aviation and related policy to advance the Group's interests both in Australia and internationally. The team also secures the rights for Group airlines to operate, grow and compete in global markets.

As part of the Government and International Relations team you'll be able to provide support to the Qantas Group's interaction with governments as well as provide technical and strategic assistance to the Group's diverse business interests.
