Commercial Pricing

The talented and professional members of our commercial and pricing teams based predominantly in our Mascot head office make an important contribution to the effective operation of each business. You will have the opportunity to apply your analytical skills in a broad spectrum of projects to maximise the operational efficiency of our business for the ongoing benefit of our customers, our shareholders and our staff.
Business or quantitative qualifications (eg Commerce) are highly valued in these areas although not essential for all roles. Qantas provides the training required to work in each of the specialist areas and merit-based progression is available within or across the various streams. Employees are actively supported and encouraged to develop both specialist and transferable skills to assist in meeting career goals.
Qantas offers opportunities for a wide range of professionals with strong commercial backgrounds in a range of roles including:
- Flight Analysts - Work to achieve route performance targets and contribute to revenue maximisation through the use of revenue management systems to forecast demand, yield, cancellations and no-shows
- Pricing Analysts - Responsible for providing support analysis for pricing decisions and for ensuring the timely upload and accurate maintenance of pricing and fares information
- Market Coordinators - Manage the day-to-day activities of a specialist teams, implementing and developing pricing strategies in liaison with specialist managers and coordinating pricing activities to ensure the best possible pricing outcomes
- Revenue Planning Coordinators - Analyse, prepare, distribute and support pricing activities throughout the Australia Sales region
Commercial analytical positions also exist in a number of the Regional Offices around Australia supporting our sales teams in their everyday work.
