Registering with Qantas Careers

Registering with Qantas Careers allows you to:

  • Build an employment profile that can be used to apply for jobs without having to re-enter your information each time you apply
  • Have personalised career opportunity notifications e-mailed you when new jobs that meet your identified interests are added to the system
  • Save your information so that you can update it whenever your information changes

Building a profile

To register with Qantas Careers, all you need to provide is your name, e-mail address, and a password.

There is three easy steps to register online:

  1. Register or Log in - Using your e-mail address and the password you created during registration, log in to Qantas Careers. Enter a password that is easy for you to remember so that you can quickly access your information in the future.
  2. Enter Your Contact Information - The system will prompt you to enter information about yourself and how best to contact you for employment opportunities.
  3. Attach Your Resume/CV or any other files you feel may assist us in considering you for job opportunities.

The profile you complete will be kept in the Qantas Careers system so that you will have easy access to your information.

You can update your information at any time by returning to Qantas Careers and updating your profile.

Applying for a specific position

View our Current Vacancies and submit your resume via the 'Apply Now' button located at the top of each vacancy listing.

First impressions count - ensure your CV is up to date and highlights skills and experience relevant to the job for which you are applying. This will give you the best chance of being shortlisted for the next stage.

If you have already created your profile, you can log in and use your previously entered information. You will be given the opportunity to make updates to your profile if necessary. If you haven't registered, you will be asked to register and to begin the profile building and application process.

You will be asked to answer some basic questions with regards to your skills and experience. By assessing your skills and answering the prescreening questions during the application process, you will enable us to better understand your areas of expertise.

Where can I learn about open opportunities with Qantas?
All open positions within Qantas are posted on our careers website. You may search for available positions and submit your profile online.

What will happen after I submit my CV?
After submitting you CV you will receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your application. If you have applied for a specific vacancy, you application will be reviewed by our dedicated recruitment team to assess your suitability for the role. If successful, you will be contacted by the relevant manager and informed of the next stage in the process. If unsuccessful, you will be notified accordingly and your profile will be used to match you to any suitable vacancies in the future.

How long will my details be kept on file?
In most cases Qantas Careers will retain your details on file, however at all times you will have full access to view, edit, update or even remove your profile. By maintaining an up to date record on our database you can choose to be kept informed of vacancies that are relevant to your preferences and skills. Additionally key pieces of information can be automatically pre-populated into any future applications, saving you valuable time.

What should I do if I cannot find an opportunity that matches my skills?
We would invite you to submit your details using our general profile feature. There is a good chance that an opportunity requiring your skills and experience will be available in the future. Your information will be made available to our dedicated recruitment team who will compare your skills and experience with our ongoing requirements and will be able to contact you when a suitable opportunity arises.

How can I send in my CV/Resume to Qantas?
To maximise your chances of success, we would encourage you to submit your profile directly to an advertised open position.

How will I know if my profile has been received?
You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt of your profile. This will be sent to the e-mail address you have given us.

Is it possible to update my details once they have been submitted?
When you register online you will be prompted to enter a user name and password. Once you have completed your registration, you will be able to use your user name and password to amend your details when required and use the same profile to apply for other vacancies that may be of interest.
