Meet our People
Our Flight Attendants know that the airline industry is highly competitive and it's the service we provide our customers that always differentiates us. What they've told us that you should know:
"As a Flight Attendant you have a significant opportunity to influence our customers' perceptions of Qantas. Your ability to provide consistently high standards of service in a sensitive and empathetic manner is key to our success."
"You need outstanding communication and service skills and a 'can-do' attitude at any time of the day or night, with the ability to care for our customers in all circumstances."
"We all work together to help each other create that perfect experience."
"Flying is exciting and rewarding, but also has some challenges. We work at high altitude in a pressurised cabin for long periods of time, fly through different time zones and can experience striking climate changes. That's why it's important to always take care of yourself. Good health is vital in coping with these conditions and you'll need to maintain a high level of personal fitness and health throughout your flying career."
"Flying definitely comes with a unique lifestyle! Sign-on times and working hours are very different from any nine-to-five, five-days-a-week role. We often work through weekends and holidays and can be away from home for long periods of time. There are some great benefits, though, like working with a different group of interesting and diverse people every time you fly and, of course, the lure of reduced airfares to destinations around the world."
