For domestic flights QF400 and above:
- Boarding starts 20 minutes before departure.
- Latest check-in without baggage closes 15 minutes before departure.
For domestic to international flights, eg. Canberra to Sydney to Singapore:
- Boarding starts 20 minutes before departure.
Passengers who arrive after boarding has closed will not be able to board the flight.

For check-in it is important that you:
- ensure that you have all the necessary travel documents, for example, passport, visas, customs documents (if applicable), photo identification and
- comply with any applicable quarantine requirements.

Priority Check-in
Qantas provides separate dedicated check-in counters for First and Business and Premium Economy customers at all airports. If you are confirmed in Economy but are waitlisted for First, Business or Premium Economy you are entitled to check in at the dedicated First, Business or Premium Economy counters.
Same Day Return Check-in
Check in online for your return flight if you:
- are returning within 12 hours of your departure flight,
- are travelling with an e-ticket, and
- only have carry-on baggage.
How to Check-in
- Online Check-in is the quickest and easiest way to check in for Qantas and QantasLink flights, between 24 hours and 1 hour before your Australian domestic flight departure, and between 24 hours and 2 hours before your international flight departure.
- Check-in Kiosks self check-in kiosks are available from Sydney (Terminal 3), Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra domestic terminals.
