As a special courtesy, we will provide accommodation, meals, ground transportation and visa costs for some customers whose itineraries involve a longer transit between Qantas and Emirates flights in Dubai.
Dubai Connect is available to:
- First and Business customers with a connection time until the first available flight of more than six hours and less than 24 hours upon arrival in Dubai.
- Selected# Premium Economy and Economy customers with a connection time until the first available flight of more than eight hours and less than 24 hours upon arrival in Dubai, and who have eligible tickets.
Qantas is only able to accept bookings at least 24 hours prior to departure of an inbound flight to Dubai. This service is subject to availability.
Dubai Connect is only available for customers aged 18 years or older. Customers under the age of 18 can use this service if they are travelling with another passenger who is over 18 years and are booked in the same room.
To be eligible for this service, customers must be on travelling on a Qantas (081) ticket in First, Business, Premium Economy or Economy.
Book your Dubai Connect
If you booked your flights at qantas.com or through any Qantas office and your booking is eligible for the service, simply log on to 'Manage Your Booking' to book Dubai Connect.
If you booked your flights through a travel agent and your booking qualifies for Dubai If you booked your flights through a travel agent and your booking qualifies for Dubai Connect, ask your agent to book this service on your behalf.
The itinerary must be on a single booking (i.e. on one ticket). For itineraries comprising of more than one ticket exceptions apply, so please check with your local Qantas office.

Your baggage will be automatically checked through to your final destination. We recommend that you pack everything you need for your stay in Dubai in your carry-on baggage.
You will receive vouchers containing details of your Dubai Connect accommodation onboard your inbound flight to Dubai. You need to present these vouchers at immigration and upon arrival at the hotel. If you require a UAE Entry Visa, you will be issued with a visa voucher that you need to present at the Emirates National Bank of Dubai (ENBD) desk prior to immigration.
A credit card may be required at hotel check-in as security for charges which arise as a result of your use of hotel facilities (such as mini bar, spa, or restaurant expenses) during your stay. These charges will not include any complimentary meals provided by way of voucher as part of your Dubai Connect offer. Additional personal charges must be paid at the time of service, prior to departure from the hotel, or as designated by the hotel.
Upon your arrival in Dubai, Emirates staff will assist you to transfer. If you are a First or Business customer, you will need to proceed to the clearly marked Chauffeur Drive desk, where you will be driven to your Dubai Connect accommodation. You will return to Dubai International Airport in a Chauffeur Drive luxury car before your flight. If you are an Economy customer, a complimentary coach service will transfer you to your Dubai Connect accommodation, and back to Dubai International Airport before your flight.
In order to be eligible for Dubai Connect, you must be successful in obtaining entry into the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Certain nationalities do not require visas to enter the UAE. If your country of nationality appears on the list below, no advance visa arrangements are required to visit the UAE. Simply disembark your flight at Dubai International Airport and proceed to Immigration.

For other nationalities, Emirates offers to sponsor your application for a complimentary visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 24 hours. The visa application process automatically starts when you book Dubai Connect as your passport details (including nationality) are captured during the booking process. However, issuance of visas is purely at the discretion of the UAE authorities and Emirates takes no responsibility should your visa application be rejected. We note that for some passport holders, the Emirates immigration authorities refuse to process visa applications. For these passport holders Emirates will not make an application and you will automatically be ineligible for Dubai Connect.
