Getting around the USA
It's never been easier to fly to the USA with Qantas. Connect easily to central and southern USA through our new port Dallas Fort Worth, or to cities on the East and West Coast through our ports in LA and New York. You can experience Qantas' award winning A380 product on flights to LA operating daily from Sydney and Melbourne. You'll also enjoy a state-of-the-art cabin environment and an exceptional customer experience on our refitted Qantas Boeing 747-400 aircraft, now operating to Dallas and LA.
Once you are there, you can get easily from the airport into most cities with a transfer or airport shuttle bus. Car hire is also hugely popular across the USA, with the notable exception of New York. By and large, car hire in the USA is cheap, the roads are easy to navigate and every place that is any place has plenty of parking. You can also do your own tour of rich celebrity strewn suburbs which are inevitably cut off from public transport.
If you don’t want to drive yourself around, you can always organise transfers which, like everything in the USA, are available in every city, in every size and shape and speed and start from around $17 per person. Day tours are an excellent way to see the city if you have limited time or want to travel with other people to some of the main destinations.
Note that all flights are subject to last minute aircraft changes. Seating configurations and product features may vary between aircraft, including aircraft of the same type.
