Hotel Price Promise - Terms and Conditions

1. The qantas.com/hotels Price Promise promotion (Hotel Price Promise) is offered on all hotel accommodation bookings made at qantas.com/hotels, subject to the following terms and conditions.

2. If, after booking accommodation at a hotel on qantas.com/hotels, a customer can prove that Fully Comparable Accommodation (as defined below) is available for a lower price, quoted in Australian dollars (or New Zealand dollars for hotels based in New Zealand only), on any travel website with a website address ending in .au or any other website operated in Australia by an Australian company (without the use of a currency converter provided on the website) the lower available rate will be matched by Qantas Holidays and the difference between the lower rate and the rate available on Qantas.com will be refunded back to the customers credit card or debit card used to make the booking. The booking must have been made on a qantas.com/hotels and the Fully Comparable Accommodation available on a website of an Australian registered company.

3. Customers seeking to make a claim under the Hotel Price Promise must be Australian Residents aged 18 years or older.

4. Only the individual who booked and paid for the accommodation on qantas.com/hotel (Claimant) may make a claim under the Hotel Price Promise.

5. All claims under the Hotel Price Promise must be submitted by the Claimant to qantas.com/hotels by midnight (12.00am) AEST on the same day as the original accommodation was booked and paid for on qantas.com/hotels.

6. The Claimant must also submit a screen shot from the competitor Australian registered web address showing the lower publicly-available internet rate for the Fully Comparable Accommodation.

7. Failure to complete the relevant claim form correctly and lodge the claim in accordance with these terms and conditions may, in the absolute discretion of Qantas Holidays, result in the invalidation of the claim.

8. Any Claimant making a claim under the Hotel Price Promise will be notified via e-mail of the outcome of their claim within 2 working days.

9. For all successful claims under the Hotel Price Promise made by a Claimant who is a Qantas Frequent Flyer member, Qantas Holidays will, within 8 weeks of the date of the successful claim, pay 1000 bonus Frequent Flyer points to that Claimant. Non Qantas Frequent Flyer members will receive the Qantas Holidays Voucher only.

10. The difference in price between the lower available rate and the rate available on Qantas.com will be refunded back to the customer credit card within 10 days.

11. Additional terms and conditions;

a. The Hotel Price Promise is available in respect of fully paid, confirmed bookings on qantas.com/hotels only.
b. Successful Claimants will receive a refund to the credit card against which the original booking was paid within 10 days of acknowledgement of a valid claim.
c. Valid Price Promise claims can be refunded to the following forms of payment if they have been used to create the booking - Credit Cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club. Debit Cards: MasterCard.
d. In instances where the credit or debit card used to create the booking is no longer valid or has changed, Qantas Holidays will credit the customer's account of the Financial Institution of their choice to the value of the valid Price Promise claim.
e. Claims under the Hotel Price Promise are not transferable, exchangeable or refundable for cash and may only be made in accordance with these terms and conditions by the individual who made the fully paid, confirmed booking on qantas.com/hotels. The failure by Qantas Holidays to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
f. Claims under the Hotel Price Promise will not be accepted if, in the opinion of Qantas Holidays, acting reasonably, the claim has occurred as the result of a printing, uploading or other error or is made fraudulently or in bad faith.
g. Qantas Holidays may cancel, modify, restrict or alter the Hotel Price Promise at any time without prior notice. The terms and conditions in effect at the time of any claim will determine a claimant's eligibility.
h. The failure by Qantas Holidays to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

12. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions the following terms shall have the following meanings;

Fully Comparable Accommodation means the same accommodation as has been booked on qantas.com/hotel including, without limitation;
a. The same hotel, the same dates, the same room type, number of nights, bedding configurations and number of adults and children;
b. Accommodation to which the same or more favourable cancellation policy applies;
c. The same inclusions including, without limitation, meals, parking, internet access, late check out, room upgrade, transfers, gifts upon arrival etc.
d. A total price which is inclusive of all fees, taxes, surcharges, booking and any other fee of any nature and displayed in Australian dollars without use of a currency converter or, in the case of hotels based in New Zealand only, is displayed in New Zealand dollars.
e. Accommodation which comprises a stand alone product and is not part of a travel package;
f. Accommodation which is advertised, accessible and publicly available to book on the internet via an Australian registered website;
g. Accommodation all details of which can be ascertained from the relevant website. For the avoidance of doubt, any accommodation involving an unknown aspect such as destination or hotel shall not constitute Fully Comparable Accommodation.
