International Inflight Dining
Award winning wines, prestige champagnes and innovative inflight dining
It's been another a vintage year for Qantas Inflight dining. We're proud to announce Qantas has again taken out four awards at the Cellars in the Sky Awards 2012. Our hand selected wine list won Best Overall Wine Cellar, Best Presented First Class Wine List and shared the award for Best First Class Sparkling and Best Business Class Sparkling.
Airline food and beverage has undergone something of a revolution in the last decade, reflecting increasingly sophisticated consumer palates and expectations. Qantas has been at the forefront of this change, working closely with Australia's most respected winemakers and providores, and introducing programs such as Sommeliers in the Sky.
Enjoy the journey.

Wine and champagne
Qantas is proud to offer our First customers one of the most highly awarded selections of wine in the skies, including two of Champagne's most revered, prestige cuvees from the celebrated 2000 vintage, the Taittinger Comtes De Champagne Blanc De Blancs 2000 and Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill 2000.
Over 300 wines have been carefully selected by a panel of wine industry judges and respected winemakers, including Vanya Cullen (Cullen Wines), Tom Carson (Yabby Lake) and Stephen Pannell (S.C. Pannell).
We pride ourselves on a charismatic selection of cutting edge boutique drops and iconic wines that showcase the diversity and quality of the Australian wine industry. At hand to help you make the right choice in International Business and First are our Sommeliers in the Sky, cabin crew who have been exhaustively trained in all aspects of wine service.
This year, we are pleased to announce that the Qantas First Class Cellar is the recipient of four of the industry's most coveted Cellars in the Sky Awards 2010, including Best First Class Cellar. Experience award-winning wines in First, including:
- Best First Class Sparkling - Comtes de Champagne Taittinger 1999, one of the world's great classics.
- Best First Class Red - Tim Kirk's Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier, from Murrumbateman near Canberra, one the most important advances in Australian Shiraz since the first releases of Penfolds Grange.
- Best First Class White - The multiple award-winning Wigan Eden Valley Riesling 2004, a mature Riesling with dry toast, lime marmalade and wild honey, and a racy palate with a spine of mineral acid driving the finish.
