Qantas Holidays Expands ReadyRooms to include Last Minute Accommodation in New Zealand

Qantas Holidays announced today that following the successful launch of ReadyRooms in Australia last year, accommodation in New Zealand had now been added to the last minute online booking service.

Head of Qantas Holidays, Simon Bernardi, said that ReadyRooms appealed to both business and leisure travellers looking for great deals on accommodation within two weeks of travel.

"In today's fast-paced world, more and more people are making travel arrangements at short notice without a lot of time to shop around. ReadyRooms saves people time and money by allowing them to compare a range of hotels on one page on one website," Mr Bernardi said.

Hotel rooms and apartments in major cities in New Zealand and throughout Australia can be booked on the ReadyRooms website, which shows images of hotel rooms, facilities and location maps, as well as special offers.

Bookings can be made on the day of travel and a flight booking is not required.

"Another advantage is that Qantas Frequent Flyer members* can earn points when making a booking for a Qantas Frequent Flyer partner hotel in New Zealand or Australia via the ReadyRooms website," said Mr Bernardi.

To celebrate the launch of ReadyRooms accommodation in New Zealand, Qantas Holidays is offering 1000 extra points for any Qantas Frequent Flyer member* who books a Qantas Frequent Flyer partner hotel in New Zealand or Australia between 23rd August and 7th September 2005. This is in addition to the usual points members earn when they book and stay at Qantas Frequent Flyer partner hotels.
