Qantas Next Generation Boeing 737-800
Qantas is expanding its fleet of next-generation Boeing 737-800s, which are now operating on both Tasman and domestic services.
The new aircraft feature state-of-the-art, touch screen inflight entertainment from Panasonic in both Business and Economy, and a seating design styled by Marc Newson.
Over 300 entertainment options are available on a seat back touch screen entertainment system, including new release movies, TV shows, CDs, games and Q radio channels as well as Qantas' exclusive interactive Lonely Planet Guides. A dedicated kids zone offers all-G rated content for young travellers.

Business

With our new seat design and state-of-the-art entertainment system, the Business cabin has been designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind.
Business customers will enjoy Qantas' Marc Newson designed seat, furnished in soft luxury leather* with a 37" seat pitch and up to 22" width between arms. Seats also feature a 10.6" in-arm inflight entertainment touch-screen, extendable leg rest with fold-out footrest, ergonomic cushions, cocktail table, PC power and a USB port.

Economy

Economy has evolved with our next-generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Economy customers will experience the new Marc Newson styled seat with 30" pitch, 5" recline and 17.2" seat width. Seats also feature a 9" seat-back inflight entertainment touch-screen, individual USB port, access to PC power, four-way adjustable headrest and ergonomic cushions.

Boeing Sky Interiors
By the end of 2013 Qantas will operate 32 new aircraft configured with 12 Business and 156 Economy seats. These aircraft will operate both Tasman and domestic services.
Selected aircraft will also feature the Boeing Sky Interior which, with enlarged window surrounds, a contemporary coloured cabin interior and LED mood lighting, will enhance the sense of spaciousness on your journey.
