Platinum, Gold and Silver Frequent Flyers
Pre-Flight
As a Platinum, Gold or Silver Frequent Flyer, you have access to a range of pre-flight benefits online.
As soon as you've booked your ticket, you can select your preferred seat and the seats of other people on the same booking with Advance Seat Selection.
Simply visit qantas.com, login and go to Your Bookings. Here, you can also view all your flight details - including departure and arrival times - request reminder alerts before departure and much, much more. You can also check-in online before you arrive at the airport, or for eligible bookings, check-in with your web-enabled mobile.
Check-in
As a Platinum, Gold or Silver Frequent Flyer member, you would have received, or will be receiving in the future your new Qantas card, complete with an intelligent Q chip. This will replace your existing Frequent Flyer card.
If you haven't already checked in online or using your mobile, all you need to do is touch your card at a Q Card Reader and you'll be checked-in.
An SMS will also be sent to your registered mobile number with your flight details.
Your Qantas card is now your boarding pass, no matter how you choose to check-in.
Got a special request, need assistance or need to make a change to your booking? No problem, our friendly Customer Service Agents are on hand at a Kiosk or the Premium Service Desk to help you
If you're travelling without bags, you can now head straight to Security. Gold and Platinum members and those travelling in Business can use Premium Security. Here, you'll enjoy a dedicated lane to ensure you pass through quickly and easily.
Q Bag Tag
As a Platinum, Gold or Silver Frequent Flyer member you should have or will be receiving in the future your smart chip enabled Q Bag Tags, along with your new Qantas card.
They look great, are incredibly durable and will save you from printing and attaching paper bag tags when you fly through a Faster, smarter check-in airport. They also sync up with your card.
If you have not yet received your Q Bag Tags, just head to a Kiosk to print and attach paper bag tags.
Bag Drop
With your bag, head to the Bag Drop area. There'll be Customer Service Agents on hand to assist you if you require.
Once you are at the Bag Drop, scan your new Qantas card and follow a few simple prompts on screen. Then, with your bag tag attached, place your baggage on the belt and your baggage will be checked-in. It's all thanks to the Bag Drop's innovative scanning technology that weighs and checks-in your baggage.
If you tend to over-pack, leaving your baggage above the weight limit you will receive an overweight baggage receipt at Bag Drop. Simply head to a Kiosk or the Sales Desk to pay for your excess baggage.
If you do know you're going to be over - pre-purchase your Additional Baggage Allowance from qantas.com and you'll save yourself some money.
Once baggage is all checked in, you can pass through the security and relax before the flight.
Boarding
Boarding is quick and easy. All you need to do is scan your new Qantas card or 2D barcode on your paper or mobile boarding pass and a member of staff will hand you your boarding receipt with your seat number. Priority boarding is available for Platinum Frequent Flyers and for those travelling in Business.

Qantas Club members
Pre-flight
Before you arrive at the airport, consider checking in online, or, if you're on the move, via your web-enabled mobile.
Check-in

Pre-flight
Before you arrive at the airport, consider checking in online at qantas.com, or, if you're on the move, via your web-enabled mobile. Both options will give you a 2D barcode that will act as your boarding pass.
Check-in
If you haven't checked in online or with your mobile, then you'll need to do so at one of the new Kiosks. By following the simple onscreen prompts, you'll be able to print your boarding pass and your bag tags if you need them. You can also change your seat and, if you have one, add your Frequent Flyer number.
If you've checked-in online or with your mobile and you're travelling with bags, this is also where you'll print your bag tags.
