Example Round the World Itineraries
Here are some itineraries for inspiration, but you can plan and book your own dream trip in a few simple steps. Note: these itineraries may include travel via oneworld hub cities.
Round the World itineraries:
- Travel must be in one continuous direction either west or east between continental zones.
- You can travel around freely within a continental zone, depending on the number of sectors you have available.
For example, you can travel west from Australia to Asia, to Europe, to San Francisco then travel around North America, then back to Australia.

Continental Zones
The Round the World continental zones are:
- Europe and the Middle East (including Algeria, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Morocco, Russia both east and west of the Urals, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan)
- Africa (excluding Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia and Libya)
- Asia (including the Indian Subcontinent)
- South West Pacific (including Australia, New Zealand)
- North America (including Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and Panama)
- South America (including Falkland Islands)
To create your Round the World trip, create your itinerary using a minimum of four and a maximum of six of the continental zones.
Fares
Your Round the World fare^ is based on the number of continental zones you visit or pass through (includes your continent of origin) and your travel class.+ Children 2 to 11 years of age travel at 75% of the applicable fare.#

Round the World bookings can be made on any of the 11 member oneworld airlines and their affiliate airlines.~
If you are a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program** or a oneworld airline's frequent flyer program, you can earn miles/points^^ on eligible flights. You may also enjoy the privileges of your membership status on oneworld airlines.++

When creating your Round the World trip, the oneworld booking tool automatically validates your trip against the fare rules, so there's no need for you to remember them. It also checks for availability, displaying only flights that have seats available for the dates and routes you've selected - and then provides an instant price for your trip. ^ Fares are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are based on itineraries with the most direct routing. Fares are correct as at 1 May 2011 but may fluctuate if surcharges, fees, taxes or currency change.
+ If an aircraft serving part of your itinerary doesn't have a first or business cabin, customers will be booked into a lower class cabin. If you are a member of a oneworld airline’s frequent flyer program, mileage and tier points can only be accrued from eligible fares in the cabin flown. Check with your frequent flyer program for details. Each oneworld alliance airline reserves the right to change its frequent flyer program rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers, and to end its frequent flyer program in accordance with its relevant frequent flyer program rules.
