Round the World with oneworld
Plan and book your very own Round the World trip with up to 15 stops from 700 destinations in 150 countries with the member airlines of the oneworld® alliance.
It's easy to plan your Round the World trip with oneworld Explorer as the fare you pay is simply based on the number of continental zones you visit and the class of travel. Alerts advise if you select a route that is not possible, only available seats are displayed and one price is provided once you have created your itinerary, so you can't go wrong!
Itineraries
Round the World itineraries must travel in one continuous direction either west or east between continental zones, but you can travel around freely within a continental zone, depending on the number of sectors you have available. For example, you can travel west from Europe to North America, to Sydney then travel freely around Australia, then to Asia and back to Europe.
Plan and book your own Round the World trip.
Fares
Your Round the World fare is based on the number of continental zones you visit or pass through (including your continent of origin) and your travel class*, rather than the distance you fly, which makes planning your journey simple. Children 2 to 11 years of age may be eligible to travel at 75% of the applicable fare^.
* If an aircraft serving part of your itinerary doesn't have a first or business cabin, customers will be booked into a lower class cabin. Mileage and tier points can only be accrued from eligible fares in the cabin flown. Premium Economy is not available on the oneworld Explorer fare.
^ If travelling with an infant, contact your local Qantas Office
~ Prices include taxes and charges and are subject to change.

Fare Rules
When creating your Round the World trip, the oneworld booking tool automatically validates your trip against the fare rules, so there's no need for you to remember them. It also checks for availability, displaying only flights that have seats available for the dates and routes you've selected - and then provides an instant price for your trip.
- If your point of origin is within the South West Pacific continental zone, the date of your first flight leaving this zone determines the seasonal fare to be charged. Seasonal fares do not apply to itineraries originating in other zones.
- Travel between continental zones must be in a continuous forward direction either west or east. However you can travel around freely within a continental zone depending on the number of sectors you have available.
- You can not pass back through your point of origin.
- You can take two stopovers* in total within your continent of origin in order to get to or from a gateway to start or return from your international travel. A stopover is where your onward travel does not take place within 24 hours.
- Travel to Europe from the South West Pacific, Africa or South America is considered as travelling through four continental zones.
- Travel between Japan and Brazil on a single flight number is considered as travelling through three continental zones; Asia, North America and South America.
- After departing from your continent of origin, you are allowed four flight segments (six in North America) within each continental zone. Additional flight segments may be purchased at an additional charge. A minimum of three and a maximum of 16 segments, including flight segments and surface segments are permitted on the entire itinerary. A flight segment is where a passenger flies between two points on the same flight number. A surface segment is where a passenger makes his or her own way between any two airports.
- Your round the world trip can be as short as ten days (excluding the date of departure) or as long as one year.^
