Ground Pass
A Ground Pass to Australian Open 2012 is a great way to experience everything on offer. Giving you access to the entire precinct (except Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena) so you can enjoy all the world-class tennis, the family-friendly zone in Garden Square and all the live
music, entertainment and activations at Grand Slam® Oval. While you're away from the courts enjoying all the fun activities you will never be away from the hot tennis action! Giant video screens showing all the live tennis action from Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena are located at Garden Square and Grand Slam® Oval.
Hisense Arena
Hisense Arena is a 10,500 seat, all-weather venue and features include a retractable roof which can be open and shut within 10 minutes, making it an ideal place to watch tennis during the Australian Open. With its smaller capacity, it provides great viewing and a more intimate atmosphere for spectators who are closer to the action. Matches at Hisense Arena are played during the first 8 days of the tournament and historically many of the big blockbuster matches are played at this venue. Hisense Arena is a fully reserved venue for Australian Open 2012. A ticket purchased for Hisense Arena also enables patrons to view matches on all outside courts. Rod Laver Arena
One of Australia's largest sporting and entertainment venue has a seating capacity of 15,000 and also features a retractable roof, making it ideal for varying weather conditions that are experienced in Melbourne during January. It is the main venue within the Melbourne and Olympic Parks Trusts for the Australian Open. Rod Laver Arena is used for matches during the entire tournament, culminating in the playing of the men's and women's finals on the final two days of the tournament. A ticket to Rod Laver Arena also enables patrons to view matches on all outside courts but does not provide access to Hisense Arena.
