New Business Lounge opens in Hong Kong

Qantas has opened its new Business Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, offering new levels of comfort and design. The new lounge is now consistent with other Qantas International Business Lounges around the world, aligning signature design elements and features.

Located on Level 5 of the Hong Kong International Terminal (entrance via Level 6), the new lounge features increased seating and shower facilities, enhanced food, beverage and entertainment options, and additional workstations. The lounge will also offer complimentary wireless access.

Entry to level 6 of the Hong Kong International Terminal building is via a lift or escalator opposite Gate 15. The new lounge is available to Qantas Business customers, Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers, Qantas Club members and all eligible oneworld passengers travelling on a oneworld marketed or operated flight.

Hong Kong First Lounge change

The Hong Kong First lounge will be closed from November 2nd 2009 for refurbishment, due to reopen early December 2009. During this time, First passengers and Platinum Frequent Flyers will be invited to use the new Business Lounge, located on Level 5 of the international terminal. Entry to the lounge is located on Level 6 of the Hong Kong International Terminal building, via a lift or escalator opposite Gate 15.

The new First Lounge on reopening will feature increased space and a new layout designed to allow for greater comfort and privacy, along with an enhanced food and beverage offering featuring greater variety and fresh produce.

The First Lounge on reopening in December will remain on Level 7.

Qantas moves to Terminal 3 in London Heathrow

London Heathrow's Terminal 3 has become the new home for Qantas flights to Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Australia, plus British Airways flights to Singapore, Bangkok and Australia.

Qantas First customers and Platinum Frequent Flyers are invited to Galleries First lounge, featuring pre-flight dining, a Wine Gallery and a magnificent Champagne Bar.

Qantas Business customers, Gold Frequent Flyers and Qantas Club members can relax in the Galleries Club Lounge offering a Wine Gallery, Deli Bar, Coffee House plus entertainment and work zones equipped with PCs. Complimentary Wifi access is available in the work zones and throughout the lounge.

Qantas First and Business customers are invited to experience the Elemis travel spa. Choose from a range of reviving and relaxing treatments or freshen up before your flight in one of the private shower pods.

Qantas customers travelling in First or Business will have use of the American Airlines Arrivals Lounge at London Heathrow.

Qantas Meeting Rooms - now open in Adelaide

Domestic Business lounge seating

Available in Sydney T3, Melbourne, Brisbane and now Adelaide domestic terminals, stand alone Qantas Meeting Rooms offer a convenient venue to host meetings at the airport.

The Qantas Meeting Rooms cater for up to 20 guests and are fully licensed with multiple catering options, meeting facilities including free wireless Internet, a break-out area, plasma presentation screens, teleconferencing, as well as photocopying and faxing services.

Qantas Meeting Rooms are available to all customers, as you do not have to be travelling to make a booking.

British Airways Lounge changes in London Heathrow

Terminal 4 Lounges:
Due to the relocation of British Airways flights to the new London Heathrow Terminal 5 and extensive terminal renovations, British Airways Terminal 4 lounges including First Lounge, Gate 10 Terraces Lounge and Concorde Lounges remain closed.

All eligible oneworld customers, Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers, Qantas Club Members and customers travelling in First and Business Class are invited to use the British Airways Lounge at Gate 1. Due to space restrictions members' guests may not be accommodated in this lounge.

British Airways Arrivals Lounge in Terminal 4:
The British Airways Arrivals Lounge in Terminal 4 remains closed due to the relocation of British Airways operations to T5 and the BAA upgrade at T4. At this time an alternate arrivals lounge is unavailable for eligible customers travelling on Qantas.

Christchurch International Lounge change

From 1 September 2009, Qantas will be moving to an Associated lounge in Christchurch. The Associated lounge is a shared lounge available for Qantas Club members, and Platinum and Gold Frequent Flyers when travelling on a Qantas or Jetstar flight#.

You will also be able to access to the lounge if you are travelling on a Qantas flight in Business.* The Manaia Lounge is located at Christchurch International Airport located on the first floor.

* Christchurch Associated lounge access is a stand alone agreement between Qantas and Jetstar. Associated lounge access in other ports is subject to standard Associated lounges conditions of entry.

Qantas Regional Lounge refurbishments

In many of our QantasLink ports we are upgrading our lounges, commencing with Karratha, Port Hedland, Rockhampton, Mackay (to be completed during October), followed at a later date by Launceston, Broome and Kalgoorlie. The lounge upgrades include a new design palette featuring contemporary designed seating and carpet plus plasma TV's offering cable and free to air channels.

Cairns Qantas Club

Qantas is building a brand new Qantas club at Cairns Airport, due to open in early December 2009.

Due to ongoing construction at the Cairns Domestic Terminal, the current interim Qantas Club lounge will close from 19 October 2009 while the new lounge is built. During this period, eligible members and their guests should contact a Qantas representative at the airport for more information.
