Qantas Indigenous School Based Traineeship

Qantas offers Indigenous high school students entering Year 11 the opportunity to undertake a School-Based Traineeship at Qantas. The traineeship allows students to work one day a week at Qantas during school time and full-time hours during the holidays.

As a Trainee, you gain practical workplace skills and an income while still at school, plus a nationally accredited qualification - usually a Certificate II in Business Services. Over the two year period, Trainees complete a minimum of 100 days' paid work experience - which counts towards the Year 12 HSC or equivalent. Mentoring support is provided throughout.

On successful completion of the Traineeship, there are a number of paths Trainees may explore, including further education, a permanent role with Qantas, or a Qantas Indigenous University Cadetship.
