Welcome to Qantas StudentConnect, our membership program for students travelling to Australia or the UK to study. Membership is free of charge and valid for two years from the first month of joining. To enjoy the benefits, send us the completed application form.
Important Information for students going to UK:
Qantas will cease operation between Hong Kong and London from 25 March 2012. In this case, with immediate effect, the expiry date of all new StudentConnect cards for applilcants studying at UK is on 24 March 2012. For existing members holding StudentConnect card travelling to London, the cards are good for usage until 24 March 2012.

Extra check-in baggage allowance*
You are entitled to carry baggage up to a maximum of 40kg for travel from Hong Kong to Australia or London on Qantas flights only.
Discount excess baggage charges^
If your check-in baggage weighs more than 40kg, you can enjoy a discount of 25% off the standard excess baggage charge. This applies to Qantas flights from Hong Kong to Australia or London only.
HK$500 discount voucher towards a Qantas ticket+
You can use the HK$500 discount voucher for your next ticket purchased in Hong Kong for travel from Hong Kong to Australia or London on Qantas flights only.
HK$200 discount voucher towards Qantas Holidays products+

Two nominees can enjoy the benefits
You can nominate two family members for Qantas StudentConnect nominee membership. Nominees can enjoy the majority of the benefits that apply to the student applicant.
Overseas Student Personal Accident Plan
Qantas and the CHUBB group have designed a special personal accident insurance plan for students. The program is designed to insure students during their academic years in Australia or London, and will cover medical expenses arising from accident or sickness, and emergency evacuation.
Application
Download the application form or collect it from your local Qantas office. Fax the completed form to 2868 0135.
To ensure your card is issued on time, submit your application two weeks before your departure. We will inform you by mail when your Qantas StudentConnect card is ready.
To pick up your card, you must show the following documents for verification:
- Qantas air ticket purchased in Hong Kong for travel from Hong Kong to Australia or London,#
- Valid Australian or UK Student Visa, and
- Hong Kong Identity Card.

+ Discount vouchers are valid for one year from the first month of issued. These offers are only available after you have purchased a Qantas ticket from Hong Kong to Australia or London and have become a member of this program. You can use this offer towards your next trip on a Qantas flight or Qantas Holidays package.
# Frequent Flyer Award tickets are not eigible. Must travel on a Qantas direct flight between Hong Kong and London.
A handling fee of HK$200 will apply for replacement of lost card.
