The United Nations Brundtland commission defines sustainable development as "development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".
As a leading Australian company that works hard to be a responsible corporate citizen we have a stewardship role to play in facilitating and encouraging change that optimises and balances economic, social and environmental considerations.
For example we can envision a future powered by renewable energy solutions, including Sustainable Aviation Fuels, where the recycling of all waste streams is normal not the exception.
We've come a long way together, for over 90 years Qantas has inspired, grown and evolved. Our journey continues.

To encourage a more sustainable future, the Qantas Foundation supports the work of the Centre of Sustainability Leadership (CSL). CSL is a Melbourne based not-for-profit organisation with the mission to expand the influence of people who care about living in a sustainable world.
Through funding from the Qantas Foundation, CSL recently developed an online version of their respected Fellowship Program called Leadership Rewired. It is a practical e-learning and networking platform that is available to everyone.
Covering proven leadership methodologies, tools and thinking models, Leadership Rewired includes video interviews and case studies with sustainability leaders from around the globe. It enables you to share ideas, ask questions, collaborate and assist others with their leadership journey, and you can complete the program at your own pace from your home or office.
