Sydney Airport - New Domestic Transfer Facility
A new transfer facility has now opened at Sydney International Airport, providing a more seamless experience for transferring from an international to a domestic flight.
The new purpose built transfer facility has undergone a significant transformation, almost 50% larger than the previous facility. It has been specifically designed to make the transition faster for passengers to meet their connecting domestic flights.
The facility now features:
- a new spacious check-in area with additional check-in counters, including dedicated Premium and Economy counters
- a hosted podium at entry with boarding pass readers to enable anyone with onward boarding passes and bags already tagged to their final destination to go straight to an express bag drop facility
- an additional security lane available during peak times
- a comfortable seating area and bathroom amenities
It is located on the Arrivals level of Sydney International Airport. After clearing Customs and collecting luggage, follow the signs located outside the terminal, entry is external to the main terminal within a short walk via a weather protected walkway.
A shuttle bus service is then available for passengers that are connecting to a Qantas or QantasLink operated flight only. It operates every ten minutes during peak times and every twenty minutes during off peak times.
