Australian International Terminal Service Fees

On 4 April Qantas Freight introduced a new schedule of service fees at our Australian based international freight terminals.

This includes the introduction of an export storage fee for shipments that are held at the freight terminals for more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure.

Ad Hoc Payment Collection Authority requests processed instantly online

We're continuously investing in technology to bring you the best tools and services to make your experience with Qantas Freight a seamless one.

One of the ways we've done this is by automating the process for clearing agents to manage ad hoc Payment and Collection Authority (PCA) requests online.

Phasing out wire cages for domestic pet transportation
From 1 January 2016 Qantas Freight will no longer accept pets presented in wire cages. Wire cages have caused aircraft damage and offer pets less environmental protection than alternate container options.

House Air Waybill Data Pre-Filing Requirement for UK/EU Customs
Please be reminded of the requirement to provide House Air Waybill data (HAWB/FHL) for all consolidated shipments travelling to or transiting through the United Kingdom and EU prior to acceptance at the departing station.

Change to acceptance of snub-nose pets
Qantas Freight wishes to advise of a change to our acceptance of Brachycephalic (snub-nose) breeds. Effective immediately Qantas Freight will now only permit Brachycephalic breeds to travel on a maximum of two consecutive flight sectors. This applies regardless of whether the sectors are international or domestic Australian flights.

Checklist for Lithium Batteries travelling to or via Santiago
LAN Cargo has introduced a special procedure for the carriage of freight containing lithium batteries. A checklist must be completed for all freight on QF321 and QF027 containing lithium batteries.
