Sustainability Index Listing
The Qantas Group is recognised as a sustainability leader by a number of leading sustainability indices. As institutional investors place increasing focus on the environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices of companies to make their investment decisions, the Qantas Group has specifically chosen to participate in these leading indexes due to their reputation as reliable, objective and transparent sources of this information to the market.

We are a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series.
Carbon Disclosure Project
Since 2010 Qantas has been included in the CDP ASX 200 Climate Disclosure Leadership Index.
Eco-Aviation Award - In 2013 Qantas was named "Eco-Pioneer of the Year" at the annual Air Transport World (ATW) Eco-Aviation Awards.
Banksia Environmental Award - In 2012 we won the Leading in Sustainability - Setting the Standard for Large Organisations category at the Banksia Environmental Awards.
The Qantas Group has adopted an investor definition of sustainability, which includes embracing opportunities and managing risks to achieve sustainable growth in returns to shareholders. This includes a commitment to managing and reporting on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) performance.
