The Best New Restaurants in Perth to Book Right Now
From a rooftop retreat plating up Mediterranean share plates to a ramen hotspot that specialises in lesser-known variants of the classic noodle soup, Perth's restaurant scene has never looked this good. Here's our pick of the Western Australian capital's best new eateries and bars to pull up a chair at in 2025 (and beyond).

Cantina di Lulu La Delizia
1/7Lulu La Delizia, the bedrock of Perth’s Italian dining scene (its tiramisu alone deserves the keys to the city), has expanded to open a casual cantina as part of its existing Subiaco restaurant. Drop by for a breezy panini, aperitivo, antipasti and even the odd pasta special for those rare moments you don’t want to commit to the more formal restaurant space.
Margot’s
2/7“North-Eastern European” isn’t a cuisine often celebrated on Australian menus but it anchors the offering at this bar in the inner Perth suburb of Northbridge, where dishes are dotted with kransky, horseradish, pastrami and plenty of potato. There’s an excellent Euro and Australian wine selection and a seven-strong Martini list, plus a cracking Sunday seafood tower special.

Ah Um
3/7The space is tight and the menu tighter at this 25-seat eatery tucked into the back of Astral Weeks bar in Northbridge, Perth. The team has always given music equal weight to food and drink (“Ah Um” comes from the name of a Charles Mingus album) and this new spot takes that to another level. The stereophonics of the main bar carry throughout, thanks to the sort of speaker set-up that would make audiophiles weep into their pommes dauphin and tuna crudo.

Lola Underground
4/7Arguably Perth’s most beautiful landmark, the State Buildings complex has refit its hideaway basement into a brand-new bar. Lola Underground is the capital city sister of Dunsborough’s Lady Lola, in the state’s South West, and both have been conceived by hospitality stalwarts Michelle Forbes and Marinela (Nella) Antonic. The new, walk-ins only space is sumptuous and sensual, decked out with extravagant wallpaper and tropical plants. Stick to the classics on the cocktail front: they do a mean Negroni and Tommy’s Margarita

Lil’s Rooftop & Bar
5/7Once the home of energetic pan-Asian party spot Tiger Lil’s, this double-storey eatery on Perth’s Murray Street has dropped the “Tiger” part of its name, adopted the flavours of the Mediterranean (plus a few pub classics) and been reborn as Lil’s Rooftop and Bar. The pizzas are a great bet for a group – the Hawaiian-style is sure to reignite the pineapple debate – and the drinks list is packed with Australian wines and a celebratory collection of champagnes.

Ten and Sen
6/7In Australia, ramen is very often heavy, pork-based tonkotsu. At Perth’s Ten and Sen in Leederville, the team wants their guests to explore the many other regional variants and presentations, such as the light, oyster-based ramen famous in Hiroshima or the spicy, Hokkaido-style soup – all using high-quality local ingredients.
