Hublot's Big Bang One Click Joyful Collection Is its Most Vibrant Yet

Innovative from its launch, the Big Bang range continues to break the rules with dazzling effect.
The watch

Hublot’s celebrated Big Bang has been on a journey over the past 20 years. When it debuted in 2005, it presented an almost shocking vision of what a modern sports watch could be, with its juxtaposition of heavy-duty, industrial materials with the traditional trappings of luxury watches – steel paired with precious stones, for example. Hublot was onto something. Over the years, the Big Bang collection hasn’t stood still, continually adding new details and materials to the design, giving it an unpredictable edge. The new Big Bang One Click Joyful range, with its coloured gems and matching rubber straps, is a first.
The details

At 33 millimetres, this is one of the more compact Big Bang watches available. But what it lacks in scale, it makes up for in personality. The One Click Joyful comes in five different versions, with 36 brilliant-cut stones on the bezel: red spinels, orange or pink sapphires, blue topaz and green tsavorites. The timepieces come with a duo of rubber straps, one white with coloured rubber inlay, the other completely matching the hue of the stones on the case. Both straps use Hublot’s One Click change system, allowing you to switch them with the press of a button. Each variation comes with a glossy white dial with alternating baton and Arabic numeral markers and a steel case housing a reliable automatic calibre.
The takeaway
What defines a Big Bang? With size taking a back seat, it’s the sheer presence of this Hublot that places it centre stage. The assertiveness of its silhouette and the overall attitude – not to mention those glittering precious stones – make this a worthy next-generation Big Bang.
