Page Weights
Page size and download times should aim for the following:
Page Download Time
- Aim for average page download time: 5 seconds or less for 56k modem. Maximum time: 15 sec.
Page Weight
- For qantas.com aim for an average of: 30k or lower page size (including both text and graphics).
Maximum size: 70k for inner pages. For large content /graphic pages, contact the Online Sales and Marketing team for larger page weights. - Pages that have Flash embedded within them have a restriction of 100kb on load. (Note: A loading animation must be included if the Flash component of the page is over 15Kb. This should load immediately and inform the user graphically of the progress of the download process.
